Cool experience beyond Barcelona
My sister and I joined this tour and everything was very well organized from start to finish, making it easy to relax and enjoy the experience. The combination of Girona, the Costa Brava and the food tastings was perfect, offering a great mix of culture, history, nature and local traditions. Girona is beautiful to explore, with its fascinating history and stunning architecture. The Costa Brava is equally impressive. A special mention goes to our guide, who was friendly, professional and knowledgeable. They shared so many interesting insights about Catalan culture and made everyone feel welcome throughout the day. The food tastings were another highlight. It was nice to try local products and learn more about the region through its cuisine. Every stop felt authentic and thoughtfully chosen. I also really appreciated the small-group setting, which made the experience feel more intimate and allowed plenty of opportunities to ask questions and interact with the guide. Highly recommended!
Response from the operator: Girona, the Costa Brava, local food and a small group really do make a rather lovely Catalan recipe! 💛 We’re delighted that everything felt well organised and that you enjoyed the mix of history, culture, nature and gastronomy. It’s especially wonderful to hear that the guide made everyone feel welcome and that the small-group format gave you plenty of time to interact and ask questions. Thank you for such a thoughtful review, and we hope to see you again for another Catalan adventure! 🌊

Amazing experience, Costa Brava looks like a postcard landscape, thank you Richard for this amazing tour!🤩
Response from the operator: Richard clearly found the secret to making the Costa Brava look even more like a postcard! 🤩 We’re delighted that you enjoyed your day and that the scenery made such a strong impression. Our guides love sharing the quieter corners and beautiful landscapes of the coast, so it’s fantastic to hear that Richard helped make the experience memorable. Thanks for exploring the Costa Brava with us and for the lovely review. We hope to see you back for another postcard-worthy adventure! 🌊

The perfect stress-free day trip
I usually prefer planning trips myself, but this was honestly the easiest and most stress-free day of our vacation. Everything was perfectly timed and organized, lasting all 8hours. The guide gave us enough information without overloading us, and the free time at the beach was perfect to disconnect.
Response from the operator: For someone who usually plans everything themselves, calling this the most stress-free day of the vacation is quite a compliment! 🌊 We’re delighted that the organization and timing allowed you to simply enjoy the experience without worrying about what came next. Finding the right balance between useful information and genuine free time is something we care about, especially when there’s a beautiful beach in Tossa waiting to be enjoyed. Thanks for trusting us with your day in Girona and the Costa Brava. We hope to welcome you back for another wonderfully uncomplicated escape! ☀️

Amazing experience
What I loved most about this tour was how human and relaxed it felt. It wasn’t just “follow the umbrella and take photos.” The guide genuinely cared that everyone had a good time. We explored Girona, relaxed by the sea in Tossa de Mar and came back feeling like we had really experienced Catalonia. So many great things to learn!!
Response from the operator: Apparently the Costa Brava gave you the full experience without requiring anyone to march behind an umbrella all day! 😄 We’re delighted that the relaxed, human side of the tour stood out to you and that you felt genuinely cared for along the way. Our guides aim to make the day feel personal, giving guests space to enjoy Girona, unwind in Tossa and actually connect with the places rather than simply ticking them off a list. Thanks for discovering Catalonia with us and for such a thoughtful review. We hope to see you back for another relaxed adventure by the Mediterranean! 🌊

Amazing experience!
Perfect combination of culture and beach. We explored historic Girona in the morning and later relaxed in Tossa de Mar on the Costa Brava. The paella lunch was delicious, but I also appreciated that some people brought sandwiches and enjoyed a picnic by the sea during the free time. Such a flexible and enjoyable tour.
Response from the operator: Girona in the morning, Tossa by the afternoon and paella by the sea? That sounds like a pretty convincing recipe for a day out! 🌊 We’re delighted that you enjoyed the combination of culture, beach time and the flexibility to make the day your own. Some guests choose paella while others prefer a picnic, and having that freedom during the free time is exactly what helps keep the experience relaxed rather than overly structured. Thanks for exploring Girona and Tossa with us and for sharing such a thoughtful review. We hope to see you back for another sunny Catalan escape! ☀️

Why this scores 73
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Catalonia Girona Costa Brava and Local Bites Small Group Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.
How much does Catalonia Girona Costa Brava and Local Bites Small Group Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $102 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Catalonia Girona Costa Brava and Local Bites Small Group Tour take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.
Is Catalonia Girona Costa Brava and Local Bites Small Group Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 22 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Catalonia Girona Costa Brava and Local Bites Small Group Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Catalonia Girona Costa Brava and Local Bites Small Group Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Catalonia Girona Costa Brava and Local Bites Small Group Tour?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Catalonia Girona Costa Brava and Local Bites Small Group Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Barcelona?
+
Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Barcelona?
+
May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Barcelona?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
