Catalina Island - A must do

Great welcome, great supervision: the excursion is definitely worth it. A plus if you are scuba diving bottles. It is as beautiful below as above: to do and in addition you will come out with souvenir underwater photos... So what else?

Unforgettable

Thane Aline was perfect. We had a wonderful experience. He was extremely knowledgable. He taught us about safety and everything else we needed to enjoy ourselves. Everyone is our group was beyond the moon diving with Thane. We saw a lion fish and many amazing corals. We enjoyed dividing all the way down to 12 meters! Afterwards we enjoyed a nice lunch. Absolutely unforgettable. Highly recommend going with Thane.

Great trip, masses of knowledge

Had an amazing time on the Catalina dive and snorkel trip! We’d gone out with them a few days earlier for the shark dive too, and both experiences were brilliant. Thane and Jorge really know their stuff, thanks to them we saw loads of marine life, especially reef sharks. Huge thanks to a fantastic team!

Wonderful.

We booked the tour with Thane and it was a wonderful experience. We were picked up promptly at the hotel. During the tour they explained the whole excursion. The snorkeling was wonderful, we saw many beautiful corals and fish. Once on Catalina Island we were located in a specific area where we could drink and eat. The food was very good and homemade. There were bathrooms, souvenir shop. We'd be back 100%. Thank you for the attention of the whole team

DO NOT BOOK, THEY cancel and don’t refund!!!

They operate under 2 names… Alboran Charter…paper work has this name on it along with email address that doesn’t seem to exist!! Our trip was cancelled to due hurricane Beryl, we arrived at the beach hut to find out the trip was cancelled then we had to complete paperwork to get a refund, this was July 1st and we were told it could be 20 days before it went back on our card. We were only staying another 2 days so we couldn’t rebook, we travelled home and awaited the refund. The refund has not happened and we are unable to contact them as the email address and phone numbers given don’t seem to be correct or we are just being ignored!! It was a lot of money to lose out on. I have tried WhatsApp also and nothing!!! Very annoyed that they took our money, THEY cancelled the trip and promised a refund and being ignored!!! Just saw another review and the same thing happened to them!! They are crooks and scam artists. Disappointing the hotel allowed then to go round the pool selling excursions from these scam artists!! Stick with the hotel excursions and stay away from the guy round the pool at the Bahia principle La Romana.

Response from the operator: Dear Fiona, We apologize for any inconvenience you may have experienced. To better assist you and investigate the matter further, could you please provide us with the name under which your reservation was made? We strive to offer the best service possible and your feedback is important to us. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation. We look forward to resolving this issue for you. Best regards,

Catalina Sailing Experience in Punta Cana with Food and Drinks: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.

How much does Catalina Sailing Experience in Punta Cana with Food and Drinks cost?

+

Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Catalina Sailing Experience in Punta Cana with Food and Drinks take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.

Is Catalina Sailing Experience in Punta Cana with Food and Drinks worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Catalina Sailing Experience in Punta Cana with Food and Drinks?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Catalina Sailing Experience in Punta Cana with Food and Drinks suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Catalina Sailing Experience in Punta Cana with Food and Drinks?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Catalina Sailing Experience in Punta Cana with Food and Drinks start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?

+

On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Off Road Buggy Adventure. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Punta Cana?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
