Bike tour on beautiful Cartegena neighborhoods by the beach

Carmen picked us from the hotel with the bikes. She took us to the prestigious Boca Grande, Castillo Grande of Cartegena on a bike tour. Altough the traffic was a lot with trucks as well, she took us through the streets safely. She also made explanations about the buildings cafes St Martin st and Cartegena. And all the three of us hadn’t been biking for quite sometime.

Fun with Friends

Great experience with Bike and Arts. They do a wonderful job and highly recommend this tour to any guests visiting Cartagena. Worked out great for the time we were there from the ship for an excursion. City is very busy so was a difficult navigating thru traffic but once we got onto the side streets it was very pleasant and enjoyed all of the sights!

Response from the operator: We always try to do our best to give our visitors the best experience in the city. Thank you and you´re welcome.

Biking early in the morning the nicest way to discover Cartagena's heart

We are a four-member family, my husband, two 9-year-old girl and boy twins and I. We were at Bike and Arts at 7:45 am. We had booked the private tour a week before. Everyone in the shop was nice and down to it with the bikes and with us. We were lucky for the traffic went easy because of the date and the time of day. For the kids, it was their first day ever in Cartagena, and it was an amazing ride on Colombian national day July 20th. We went through the just awakening streets, up to the walls of the murallas, crossed plazas and saw people's smiles and colorful houses, plants, balconies. Jaime our guide was friendly, proffesional and full of local swing. The flow was perfect both to enjoy and to have a first hand taste of the places we would like to return later during the week.

Response from the operator: You were a beautiful family. It was a pleasure for us to share this experience with you. Hope you to come back.

Cartagena by Bike: History, Culture and More Inside the Wall: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cartagena.

How much does Cartagena by Bike: History, Culture and More Inside the Wall cost?

+

Prices start at $68 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cartagena usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cartagena by Bike: History, Culture and More Inside the Wall take?

+

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cartagena is not rushed.

Is Cartagena by Bike: History, Culture and More Inside the Wall worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cartagena, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cartagena by Bike: History, Culture and More Inside the Wall?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cartagena by Bike: History, Culture and More Inside the Wall suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 2-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Cartagena by Bike: History, Culture and More Inside the Wall?

+

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cartagena can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cartagena and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cartagena by Bike: History, Culture and More Inside the Wall start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cartagena within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cartagena?

+

On Outty we rank every Cartagena experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cartagena Antigua & Barrio Getsemani group with audio system, Historic Center & Getsemaní Shared Tour in Cartagena, Cartagena VIP Boat Tour: Rosario Islands & Snorkel. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cartagena?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cartagena?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
