    Operator wouldn’t honor reservation

Very dishonest tour operator, I booked a photo shoot last month and 3 days before I left for my trip the operator contacted me on WhatsApp to tell me he would not honor my reservation. He told me he was using the horses for another tour at the time of my reservation and asked me if I could come another time. I wasn’t able to reschedule as I had other activities planned during my trip. I think it’s extremely unprofessional to double book people and refuse to honor reservations, and I advise others not to book with this operator.

Response from the operator: Dear Julia, We believe future travelers deserve to know the complete and accurate story. Your reservation was never double-booked, nor did we cancel your booking to accommodate another customer. Atreus Travel is a travel agency and professional photography company. We are not a horse ranch, nor do we own or operate the horses used in our photoshoots. We work with independent local horse ranches that provide horses for photography experiences. During sunset hours, those horses are scheduled for their regular horseback riding tours, and their availability is determined by the ranches—not by our company. Your photoshoot was booked for 7:00 PM. Approximately one week before your scheduled date, we contacted you to explain that the horses would not be available at that time and offered several alternative time slots on the same day. Our intention was to ensure that your photoshoot could still take place. We did not cancel your reservation. Instead, we informed you that if the alternative times did not fit your travel itinerary, you were still within the booking platform’s free cancellation period and could cancel your reservation yourself for a full refund. You chose to cancel your reservation through the booking platform and received a full refund. During our communication, you also stated that you intended to use review platforms and legal action to have our business shut down. While we respect every customer’s right to express their opinion, we cannot accept threats or false allegations against our company. Since then, the same accusations have been posted across multiple platforms, including claims that we double-booked your reservation and failed to honor our commitment. These statements are simply not accurate. Our communication records clearly show that we contacted you well in advance, explained the operational limitation, offered reasonable alternatives, and that the cancellation was completed by you through the booking platform. To our future guests, we encourage you to read all of our reviews and judge us by the experiences of the hundreds of travelers we have proudly served over the years. We remain committed to honesty, professionalism, and delivering exceptional experiences to every guest.

    10 stars for Asim

This was such a cool experience! Asim was humorous and rly fun to shoot with. After knowing that he owned a travel agency, we even rented a flying dress and booked another underground city tour with him. Lots of shots to choose from highly recommend

Response from the operator: Thank you so much, it was a pleasure to meet you.

    So Fun - Unique Experience

Kapadokya is a land of incredible landscapes, fascinating cultures, and friendly people. Derived from the Hittite word “Katpatuka,” it is commonly held to mean “Land of Beautiful Horses” - so why not get up close and personal with them? Asim is a fantastic photographer and went out of his way to make sure we had all the shots we wanted, even took us to a secondary location when the first location didn't work out. He worked around our tight schedule for the shoot, and was prompt in getting us the final images afterward. Fair warning, it takes a sec to get used to horses thundering up behind you. But just stay calm and keep moving forward slowly - the horses know what to do better than you do. Thanks, Asim and Atreus Travel, for a fun and unique experience!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much, it was a pleasure to meet you.

    Year of the Horse

The running horse photoshoot was nothing like I've ever experienced. It was very creative if not a little scary. My photographer was very smart about the timing and had us move out shoot up to catch the beautiful early sunlight. While I struggled a little bit with walking through the running horses, he did an excellent job of directing me. He captured some gorgeous shots. I couldn't be more happy. I would totally do another photoshoot with him again. Thank you!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much, Sherrie, it was a pleasure to meet you.

Cappadocia Running Horses Photoshoot with Drone Shoots: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Goreme.

How much does Cappadocia Running Horses Photoshoot with Drone Shoots cost?

    +

Prices start at $140 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Goreme usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cappadocia Running Horses Photoshoot with Drone Shoots take?

    +

Plan for about 0.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Goreme is not rushed.

Is Cappadocia Running Horses Photoshoot with Drone Shoots worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 26 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Goreme, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cappadocia Running Horses Photoshoot with Drone Shoots?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cappadocia Running Horses Photoshoot with Drone Shoots suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 0.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Cappadocia Running Horses Photoshoot with Drone Shoots?

    +

Around 9 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Goreme can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Goreme and add a light layer if any part of the 0.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cappadocia Running Horses Photoshoot with Drone Shoots start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Goreme within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Goreme?

    +

On Outty we rank every Goreme experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Red (North) Tour Cappadocia (small group) with lunch and tickets, Green (South) Tour Cappadocia (small group) with lunch and ticket, Cappadocia Green Tour - Classic Route (Popular). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Goreme?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Goreme?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
