Amazing Devils Peak Hike
My first day in Cape Town, had the most amazing hike up Devil’s Peak with Don and Blue. Don was a great guide; very knowledgeable about the mountain and surrounding area, took lots of pictures, and super encouraging. I’ll be following his local recommendations for the rest of my trip, but I’m not sure anything can beat the view from the top!

Perfect hike
Wonderful and amazing hike. Donovan was the perfect guide. He went at our pace, he was very knowledgeable about every question and very supportive. I could not recommend more.

Amazing Hiking Experience with Donovan and Blu
I had a wonderful hiking experience with Donovan and Blu! Everything was very well organized, the pace was comfortable, and the views were absolutely breathtaking. Donovan is a fantastic guide — professional, attentive, and genuinely passionate about what he does. I felt safe, well taken care of, and truly able to enjoy the beauty of Table Mountain. A special thank you for the beautiful photos and videos — such a thoughtful touch that made the experience even more memorable ❤️ I will definitely be booking another hike with Donovan and would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an unforgettable Cape Town hiking experience.

Kasteelsport Hike on Table Mountain with Don
We did the Kasteelsport hike on Table Mountain with our guide Don and honestly had such a great time. The tour felt very personal from the start. Our guide was super friendly and easy to talk to, and you could really tell he enjoys what he does. Along the way he shared lots of interesting details about the plants, animals, and some of the history of the area, but never in an overwhelming or lecture style way. It felt more like walking with someone who knows the mountain really well and enjoys sharing it. He also took some really great photos and videos of us during the hike, which we did not expect and really appreciated. What we liked most was how flexible the tour was. He paid attention to our fitness level and adjusted the pace and small details of the route so it suited us perfectly. We never felt pressured and could simply enjoy the experience and the views. We would definitely recommend this hike and this guide to anyone, whether you are very fit or just want a great and well supported mountain experience. It was a highlight!

A must do! But be aware of the challenging hike
Carmen was so cheerful and kind and gave us a safe hike, including interesting facts about CPT. I loved it and it was worth every step eventhough the hike was challenging and unfortunately without a view.

Why this scores 74
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Cape Town: Table Mountain Hiking Tour With Pro Guide: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cape Town.
How much does Cape Town: Table Mountain Hiking Tour With Pro Guide cost?
+
Prices start at $80 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cape Town usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cape Town: Table Mountain Hiking Tour With Pro Guide take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cape Town is not rushed.
Is Cape Town: Table Mountain Hiking Tour With Pro Guide worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 23 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cape Town, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cape Town: Table Mountain Hiking Tour With Pro Guide?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cape Town: Table Mountain Hiking Tour With Pro Guide suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cape Town: Table Mountain Hiking Tour With Pro Guide?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Town can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Town and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cape Town: Table Mountain Hiking Tour With Pro Guide start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cape Town within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cape Town?
+
On Outty we rank every Cape Town experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cape Town: Lion's Head Sunrise/Sunset Hike, Cape Town Airport Private Transfer, Ocean Wildlife Encounter in Cape Town. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cape Town?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cape Town?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
