About this experience

Travel along the Atlantic coast, passing through the cosmopolitan suburbs of Sea Point and Camps Bay. We'll drive past the fishing village of Hout Bay, to the Cape Point Nature Reserve, comprising over 17,300 acres of indigenous fauna and flora. Here we can see a variety of wildlife. We'll be able to see the union of the Atlantic and Indian Oceans (as per legend) and may even feel the brisk wind that is dubbed the "Cape Doctor" for its presumed curative powers. We follow the coastline along False Bay and return to Cape Town by way of Simon's Town, where we visit the Penguin colony at Boulders Beach (with the option of pre-purchasing the entrance ticket) and Fish Hoek fishing village. We return to Cape Town, passing the University of Cape Town, Rhodes Memorial, and the Groote Schuur Hospital.

Good local firm with a few tweaks needed

Completed three tours with Cullinan over a visit to Cape Town, Half Day inc. Table Mountain, Full Day Cape Point and a Winery Tour for the day. Almost all parts were pretty good, the vehicle was good, it was a max of 6 people and the guides were generally really good - the full day Cape Point tour guide was fantastic. However, despite having our start time changed by a letter under the hotel tour at midnight (which we did not see before bed), the guide on the half day tour saw fit to give us a telling off, and the full day winery tour guide took us for lunch and did not mention any prices or offer any alternatives. There is a lot to like on the smaller tours, but the communication from main office isn't great and as always, a lot depends on the guide you get.....

Amazing Tour and Awesome Guide

We did the Cape Peninsula tour with our guide Ashraaf, and it was absolutely wonderful! We saw so much of the beautiful Cape Town Peninsula and got such great information about Cape Town from Ashraaf. Ashraaf was so very informative and it was clear he loves his city. I highly recommend this tour and Ashraaf as a tour guide!

Perfect Day Trip to See the best of Cape Town

We went on this excursion 2/16/2018 with Brian De George (spelling) he was such a pleasure. He was extremely professional from start to finish. He drove us in an air condition well kept shuttle bus around key sights of the city. He was really knowledgeable and provided us with more options to do while there. We stopped at Campus Bay and took pictures from atop of the mountain near the old military base. We were able to see Baboons in action. They literally stopped traffic while we were on tour. The tour include stops at Cape of Good Hope, Boulder Beach, Cape Point and the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens. We also stopped for a good lunch I believe in Simon's Point. I enjoyed this trip although it lasted a whole day. I was able to capture some amazing memories and see Cape Town and Table Mountain from many different facets. I recommend this guided tour!

Cape Town Shore Excursion: Small Group Full Day Cape Peninsula: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cape Town.

How much does Cape Town Shore Excursion: Small Group Full Day Cape Peninsula cost?

+

Prices start at $1630 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cape Town usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cape Town Shore Excursion: Small Group Full Day Cape Peninsula take?

+

Plan for about 8.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cape Town is not rushed.

Is Cape Town Shore Excursion: Small Group Full Day Cape Peninsula worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 3 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cape Town, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cape Town Shore Excursion: Small Group Full Day Cape Peninsula?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cape Town Shore Excursion: Small Group Full Day Cape Peninsula suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 2. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 8.5-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Cape Town Shore Excursion: Small Group Full Day Cape Peninsula?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Town can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Town and add a light layer if any part of the 8.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cape Town Shore Excursion: Small Group Full Day Cape Peninsula start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cape Town within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cape Town?

+

On Outty we rank every Cape Town experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cape Town: Lion's Head Sunrise/Sunset Hike, Cape Town Airport Private Transfer, Ocean Wildlife Encounter in Cape Town. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cape Town?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cape Town?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
