You have to visit it because everyone has
It was Nice, we took the cable car with a great view and took many photos. On top it was nice but very cold and windi. It's a great place to relax and take photos. Also got some souvenirs there on top. Maybe because we went end of the day (a weekday) so that we don't get a lot of people.

Not as advertised
The sites were beautiful, but the tour was not as advertised. First, the tour was listed as a "Private luxury vehicle", we were in a Toyota Corolla with ripped seats and a cracked windshield. Second, the tour was listed to include a Private tour guide/driver and that "Guests receive a guided tour of the mountain", the driver did not speak to us and did not accompany us to the sites, so there was no tour guide. When we asked questions we got a short answer that sounded like a guess since he was not from Cape Town. Third, we did not visit all the sites that were listed, we never went to Bo Kaap (Cape Malay Quarters) to view the colorful houses. I believe we saw the other areas -Muizenberg, Constantia, False Bay, Noordhoek,Simon's Town, but again there was no tour or explanation, so I can't be sure. I have requested a partial refund due to these issues and have received no response. When I called back, I heard the operator closed my case, so I opened another.

Fantastic city!!
In February 2018 we visited in flia Cape Town. Modern city very groomed on the sea. With its montan table behind incredible backs. We visit it, go up by cable car and walk down, it has no greater difficulty but uneven terrain in descent. If the weather accompanies it is worth doing. The view of the whole city, the World Cup stadium and all its sea coast is beautiful. We walked a lot, we moved on the bus network getting off at different stops, we ate rich in the market, it was a lot of enjoyment in a beautiful city
Response from the operator: Buenos días Estimado cliente, muchas gracias por su buena evaluación. Nos gustaría darle la bienvenida nuevamente para sus otros viajes en Ciudad del Cabo. Una vez mas, Gracias. can you please send us you email so that you can be in contact with you when we have any new route of tour kind regards MESSI

Why this scores 49
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Cape Town Private Tour: Table Mountain Car & Cape Point Penguins: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cape Town.
How much does Cape Town Private Tour: Table Mountain Car & Cape Point Penguins cost?
+
Prices start at $313 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cape Town usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cape Town Private Tour: Table Mountain Car & Cape Point Penguins take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cape Town is not rushed.
Is Cape Town Private Tour: Table Mountain Car & Cape Point Penguins worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 49 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.2/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable culture & history in Cape Town, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cape Town Private Tour: Table Mountain Car & Cape Point Penguins?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Cape Town Private Tour: Table Mountain Car & Cape Point Penguins suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cape Town Private Tour: Table Mountain Car & Cape Point Penguins?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Town can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Town and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cape Town Private Tour: Table Mountain Car & Cape Point Penguins start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cape Town within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cape Town?
+
On Outty we rank every Cape Town experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cape Town: Lion's Head Sunrise/Sunset Hike, Cape Town Airport Private Transfer, Ocean Wildlife Encounter in Cape Town. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cape Town?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cape Town?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
