Well packed itinerary with scenic views, penguins and a wine farm
Yahya was an amazing guide, with a lot of information on the various stops on the tour. He was helpful and friend which we appreciated on the day out. We loved the scenery along Chapman's Peak Drive and it was great we could stop there for photos as well. At the Cape of Good Hope, not being much of the hiking sort, we took the funicular up to the Lighthouse. It had fantastic views. The penguins were so cute, just seeing them swimming up and waddling onto the beach, lazing around. Ending at the winery was good, we had a wine tasting and ordered some food.

Cape Town Peninsula Done Right with an Exceptional Private Guide
This Cape Town Peninsula Day Tour exceeded every expectation. From start to finish, it was a first class experience, and a big part of that was our guide, Yahya. Yahya went above and beyond in every way. Professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making sure we had the best possible experience. He even added value to the itinerary by taking us through Bo Kaap, which was a great cultural bonus to start the day. The itinerary itself was outstanding. Chapman’s Peak Drive was breathtaking, Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope were unforgettable, and seeing the penguins at Boulders Beach is something you have to experience in person. While at Cape Point, Yahya recommended Two Oceans Restaurant, and that turned out to be the perfect choice. The views, the food, and the overall setting made it one of the highlights of the day. What really stood out was how seamless Yahya made everything feel. No rushing, no stress, just a well curated experience with incredible views, great conversation, and memorable moments throughout. If you are visiting Cape Town, this tour is a must. And if you can, request Yahya. He takes an already amazing experience and elevates it to another level.
Response from the operator: WOW! Thank you for the glowing review and your support. Your VERY KIND words are genuinely appreciated William. Yahya’s character, charm and patience really highlights what a great ambassador he is for Cape Town tourism.

Book this trip!!!
I had the best day with Tayb - we ticked off • everything that was must do on my list for a cape peninsula trip and more - even in the rain it was such a special trip and I can only highly recommend it. Tayb was so lovely and knowledgeable and I never felt rushed at all and he was essential in making sure everything ran smoothly and even booked in a wine tasting at the end which topped off an incredible day.

Why this scores 83
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Cape Town Peninsula Day Tour ( Cape Point/Penguins/Wine Tasting): questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cape Town.
How much does Cape Town Peninsula Day Tour ( Cape Point/Penguins/Wine Tasting) cost?
+
Prices start at $115 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cape Town usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cape Town Peninsula Day Tour ( Cape Point/Penguins/Wine Tasting) take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cape Town is not rushed.
Is Cape Town Peninsula Day Tour ( Cape Point/Penguins/Wine Tasting) worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 54 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cape Town, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cape Town Peninsula Day Tour ( Cape Point/Penguins/Wine Tasting)?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cape Town Peninsula Day Tour ( Cape Point/Penguins/Wine Tasting) suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cape Town Peninsula Day Tour ( Cape Point/Penguins/Wine Tasting)?
+
Around 19 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Town can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Town and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cape Town Peninsula Day Tour ( Cape Point/Penguins/Wine Tasting) start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cape Town within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cape Town?
+
On Outty we rank every Cape Town experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cape Town: Lion's Head Sunrise/Sunset Hike, Cape Town Airport Private Transfer, Ocean Wildlife Encounter in Cape Town. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cape Town?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cape Town?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
