Excellent tour with a visit to Table Mountain.
We took a tour around Cape Town, including the cable car ride to Table Mountain. It was an amazing experience that I recommend to anyone who wants to discover the wonders of the place.
Response from the operator: Gracias por su maravillosa reseña. Nos alegra saber que disfrutó explorando Ciudad del Cabo y visitando la Montaña de la Mesa. Agradecemos su recomendación y esperamos darle la bienvenida a bordo nuevamente en el futuro.

Cape Town bus tour below expectations
We went on the Red Route and was a bit disappointed in the bus route: it did not include the Bo-Kaap or Signal Hill. For the route's 90 minutes duration I expected a bit more. There was also miscommunication among the staff at the ticket office and those on the road because we were rudely told to get off the buss once it arrived at Table Mountain when that was not the information provided initially.
Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. Our Red Route operates exactly as advertised and does not include Bo-Kaap or Signal Hill — these areas are not part of any of our main bus routes. However, Bo-Kaap can easily be explored on our free guided walking tour, which departs regularly from Stop 5. This allows guests to experience the colourful streets and unique culture up close — something large buses are unable to do, as the area has been declared a non-bus zone by local residents. Signal Hill is included as part of our Sunset Tour, which is complimentary when purchasing a Premium or Deluxe ticket, or can also be bought separately. It’s one of our most scenic experiences! We’re sorry to hear about the confusion at Table Mountain. Occasionally, when traffic causes buses to bunch together, guests may be asked to change buses to help maintain smooth service frequency. The ticket office wouldn’t necessarily be aware of these real-time operational adjustments, but this is always done with guest convenience in mind. We do hope you’ll join us again to experience the other tours and routes we offer — including Bo-Kaap on foot and Signal Hill at sunset.

Cape Town Hop-On Hop-Off Bus and Waterfront Duck Tour: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cape Town.
How much does Cape Town Hop-On Hop-Off Bus and Waterfront Duck Tour cost?
+
Prices start at $51 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cape Town usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cape Town Hop-On Hop-Off Bus and Waterfront Duck Tour take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cape Town is not rushed.
Is Cape Town Hop-On Hop-Off Bus and Waterfront Duck Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cape Town, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cape Town Hop-On Hop-Off Bus and Waterfront Duck Tour?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cape Town Hop-On Hop-Off Bus and Waterfront Duck Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cape Town Hop-On Hop-Off Bus and Waterfront Duck Tour?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Town can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Town and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cape Town Hop-On Hop-Off Bus and Waterfront Duck Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cape Town within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cape Town?
+
On Outty we rank every Cape Town experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cape Town: Lion's Head Sunrise/Sunset Hike, Cape Town Airport Private Transfer, Ocean Wildlife Encounter in Cape Town. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cape Town?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cape Town?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
