Shame, they are just out to scam people now
These guys are a scam, they didn't refund our deposit money even though they said they would (no response after rental, ignoring messages and calls) and they messed us around on the day, only giving us a half day (we paid for full) and a much smaller boat. Don't use these guys!

Great Experience
It was my first time on a speedboat and even though I had a bit of nerve it was the most adventurous thing to do, I have never done a deep ocean boat ride towards Clifton Beach, we were able to see some dolphins, penguins, and seals in the deep ocean. It was so peaceful and serene even though it was a bit cloudy but definitely worth doing. My team and I truly felt comfortable and safe with our skipper Lance. He explained to us some of the surroundings we saw and told us a little bit about sea life. It is definitely a service I would recommend to my guest at Point B Guest House. Thank you to Natasja for the educational.

Best experience - treated like a royalty
13th birthday present to my boy - best present I could give him. The organising and extra effort by Natasha was out of this world. We felt safe from the word go with Kevin. The personal attention, made our day extra special. Highly recommended - at the price.
Response from the operator: Hi Winonav4 Thank you for the positive feedback. The team absolutely loved hosting you. We look forward to your next visit with us. Many Thanks The Ocean Team

Brilliant
We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 hour boat trip with Jock. He was a really great skipper and told us lots about Cape Town and the sea round it. We saw lots of dolphins, seals and sun fish, as well as lots of birds. We had such a lot of fun. A very worthwhile outing.
Response from the operator: Hi Jaynem616 5 stars! Amazing thank you! We had so much fun exploring the ocean with you. Cape Town has so much to offer, and we are very happy to know that you got to experience this. Looking forward to hosting you again in the future Warm regards The Ocean Team

Why this scores 64
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Cape Town Boat Trip: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cape Town.
How much does Cape Town Boat Trip cost?
+
Prices start at $23 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cape Town usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cape Town Boat Trip take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cape Town is not rushed.
Is Cape Town Boat Trip worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 64 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.3/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cape Town, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cape Town Boat Trip?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cape Town Boat Trip suitable for kids and families?
+
The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 1-hour running time when deciding.
How far in advance should I book Cape Town Boat Trip?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Town can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Town and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cape Town Boat Trip start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cape Town within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cape Town?
+
On Outty we rank every Cape Town experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cape Town: Lion's Head Sunrise/Sunset Hike, Cape Town Airport Private Transfer, Ocean Wildlife Encounter in Cape Town. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cape Town?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cape Town?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
