    Amazing Cape Raoul

Second time doing this cruise as it’s so good. You will see seals and many birds such as albatross and shearwaters. You may also see dolphins and whales. The scenery is amazing, especially the cliffs at the Cape.

Fast adventure ride on the ocean

Absolutely brilliant fun. Small group size for a three hour boat trip around the stunning Tasmanian Peninsula but this was unlike any boat trip I’ve been on - I swear this was like jet boating on the ocean!! It was excellent fun, we saw dolphins, seals and albatross really close up, as well as stunning scenery. Cannot recommend this enough. The commentary was both informative and funny.

Response from the operator: Thank you for joining our Cape Raoul Cruise and for sharing such a fantastic review. We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the small group experience, the stunning Tasman Peninsula scenery and the incredible close-up wildlife encounters. It’s great to know the commentary added to the fun and helped make the cruise such a memorable adventure. Thank you for the strong recommendation — we’re so glad you had an excellent time on the water! Cheers Melinda

Journey to the Great Southern Ocean

A fantastic day out! Everything was well organized yet relaxed! The crew were really knowledgeable (and funny! High five to Isabell and Dana (our skipper and deckie) their experience was evident in navigating the seas. We saw seals and plenty of birds Jordy was a fantastic guide/driver (5 stars Jordy!) He was extremely knowledgeable about Bruny and just an overall good human! Lunch was superb! Would recommend taking warm clothes for the boat trip!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for sharing your amazing feedback. We greatly appreciate it. Cheers Melinda

Extraordinary cruise if the 3 Capes, Tasmania

This tour exceed all expectations! We had a summary day with calm seas. Nick took us out from Stewart’s Bat, looping past Cape Pillar and Cape Huoy before returning to Pirates Bay. His commentary was really informative. We saw the Port Arthur historical sight from the sea, Tasman Island, a blowhole and the amazing cliffs of the 3 Capes. But the best bit was undoubtedly the wildlife. Eagles, albatross, an enormous bait ball which attracted shearwaters, dolphins and seals, and baby seal pups on the rocks. This is a must do experience.

Response from the operator: Dear Lisa Thank you so much for your amazing feedback. We are so glad to hear you loved your Tasman Island Cruises experience. Cheers Melinda

    Outstanding. Highly recommended

This was a fantastic day out. Our captain, Tom, was brilliant. So knowledgeable and top shelf Dad jokes. His offsides, Ange, was lovely and super helpful. She managed to spot the Eagle up high in the trees. She was so welcoming and was making sure she talked to everyone. They showed us some truly stunning scenery and found so much amazing wild life. We had seals, dolphins, all kinds of birds and even managed to find mountain climbers. Highly recommend this company. This was our second tour with them and both were just fantastic. So professional. So well prepared and made sure it was great value for money of both trips.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for taking the time to share your amazing feedback. The Tasman Peninsula region is such a spectacular part of the world. Cheers Melinda

Cape Raoul Cruises with bus transfers from Hobart: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Hobart.

How much does Cape Raoul Cruises with bus transfers from Hobart cost?

    +

Prices start at $186 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Hobart usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cape Raoul Cruises with bus transfers from Hobart take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Hobart is not rushed.

Is Cape Raoul Cruises with bus transfers from Hobart worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Hobart, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cape Raoul Cruises with bus transfers from Hobart?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cape Raoul Cruises with bus transfers from Hobart suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Cape Raoul Cruises with bus transfers from Hobart?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Hobart can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Hobart and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cape Raoul Cruises with bus transfers from Hobart start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Hobart within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Hobart?

    +

On Outty we rank every Hobart experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include kunanyi/Mt Wellington Explorer Bus- Return Tour (2.5 hours), Full-Day Guided Bruny Island Tour from Hobart, Day Tour in Mt. Field, Mt. Wellington, Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary and Richmond. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Hobart?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Hobart?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
