Great day and experience

My wife, daughter and I took this tour in mid-September. Unfortunately, we caught this trip on the worst possible weather day you could imagine! Rain, Wind and more Rain!! Due to the wind, we were not able to drive along Chapman's Peak. In between rain squalls we did enjoy the Cape of Good Hope and saw baboons along the way. The penquins were the highlight! TK was an amazing tour guide and made the most of the bad weather day! TK has an incredible amount of knowledge about the area.

Response from the operator: Hi, like you said.. it might not have been the best weather day, but your guide still managed to make the most of it! They don't call us "The Cape of Storms" for nothing... haha - but seriously - Rain, wind, and then some sunshine makes Cape Town road tripping always an adventure. Thanks for mentioning TK, what a knowledgeable local guide - really knows how to make the best of any situation, adding a whole new layer to the experience. We're also so appreciative that you chose to tour with us, especially as a portion of your tour fees goes towards community projects supported by our non-profit, 2cChange. To witness the positive impact of your travels with us, please take a moment to visit our website's 2cChange page for the latest updates and more information on our dedication to responsible travel. We hope to have you adventuring with us again soon... not just to see more and do more, but helping us make an even bigger difference as you join another of our #tour2cchange trips. Keep on exploring, from Team Hotspots2c

It was a great day!!

This was a fantastic tour and worth every penny! Barnabus was a fantastic guide and went the extra mile every time a request was made. The small group made it possible to get in and out without waiting for a bus full of people. The company was very responsive, letting us know when and where we would be picked up to start the day. Highly recommend this tour!!

Response from the operator: Hi there Jackie, Thank you so much for your awesome review! We're grateful that you found the tour fantastic and worth every penny. We’re glad you enjoyed the small group vibe—it really does make everything smoother and more fun! Thanks for recommending us, and for appreciating our responsiveness and organization. We loved having you on tour and can't wait to welcome you back for more adventures! From Team Hotspots2c

Cape Point Explore with Boulder's Penguins Full Day Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cape Town.

How much does Cape Point Explore with Boulder's Penguins Full Day Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $2420 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cape Town usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cape Point Explore with Boulder's Penguins Full Day Tour take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cape Town is not rushed.

Is Cape Point Explore with Boulder's Penguins Full Day Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 67 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 17 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cape Town, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cape Point Explore with Boulder's Penguins Full Day Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cape Point Explore with Boulder's Penguins Full Day Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 8. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 8-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Cape Point Explore with Boulder's Penguins Full Day Tour?

+

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Town can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Town and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cape Point Explore with Boulder's Penguins Full Day Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cape Town within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cape Town?

+

On Outty we rank every Cape Town experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cape Town: Lion's Head Sunrise/Sunset Hike, Cape Town Airport Private Transfer, Ocean Wildlife Encounter in Cape Town. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cape Town?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cape Town?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
