Family tour

We recently took our family on a tour of the Cape of Good Hope with HYMCAPETOURS and had an amazing experience! Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, and made sure everyone in our family had a great time. The tour was well-organized and tailored to our family's needs. We highly recommend HYMCAPETOURS to any families looking for a fun and educational tour!

Excellent full day trip with so many things to see/experience. Bumpy start in the morning though.

Excellent full day experience, great driver/guide. However the start of the day was a bit bumpy: the driver had to pick-up three people in the cruise terminal, but he did not manage to find those people. It took us more than an hour (waiting), when finally they met each other. The story of the three people is that they were well in time at the agreed place, but there was no way for them to recognize the tour guide (was not wearing any type of sign) => this can be improved!

Response from the operator: Dear valued customer, We apologise for the mishap on the day of your tour. Of course, we have taken note of that and we promise to improve our services in future. We will work on that. Thank you!

Our guide-driver Bosco is very knowledgeable and caring person and always made sure we are getting the best views, short line, good stop for coffee or food. He took a photo shots of us to make this trip memorable ( at our request).

This is one of the most amazing experiences that I have had in South Africa. Thank you Felix, Bartende Travel & Tours.

It was an amazing experience. From the moment our guide Felix arrived at my hotel in his white Mercedes it was a 5 star experience. Then we picked up James and Helen who by the way are wonderful tour buddies. (Grandma and Grandpa card). Felix expanded our minds and broadened our horizons with every mile, there was something interesting and educating he would let us in. His driving was smooth and clean, he would stop at places with fascinating views for us to take picture. And we had some awesome coffee break along the way and lunch at at place where the mini-burger isn't so mini afterall. The food was tasty and very filling. I can't wait to do this all over again soon.

Response from the operator: Dear valued guest, Thank you very much for your review we are glad and proud to see you at Cape point light house. Please don't reveal our secret about late bookings. We can't wait to host you again . Thanks 😊

Cape of Good Hope and Penguins - Small Group - Full day: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cape Town.

How much does Cape of Good Hope and Penguins - Small Group - Full day cost?

+

Prices start at $23 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cape Town usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cape of Good Hope and Penguins - Small Group - Full day take?

+

Plan for about 8.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cape Town is not rushed.

Is Cape of Good Hope and Penguins - Small Group - Full day worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 70 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cape Town, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cape of Good Hope and Penguins - Small Group - Full day?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cape of Good Hope and Penguins - Small Group - Full day suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Cape of Good Hope and Penguins - Small Group - Full day?

+

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Town can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Town and add a light layer if any part of the 8.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cape of Good Hope and Penguins - Small Group - Full day start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cape Town within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cape Town?

+

On Outty we rank every Cape Town experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cape of Good Hope and Boulders Penguins Day Tour from Cape Town, Table Mountain, Boulders Penguins and Cape point Day Tour, Wine Tour: Paarl, Franschhoek & Stellenbosch incl 3 wineries. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cape Town?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cape Town?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
