A long drive but totally worth it!

I had the best day! Got to see the place where the two oceans meet - and to see a friend in Hermanus. Anthea was super friendly, told interesting facts about the places we saw on the way, and we talked about how it is to live in South Africa. Very happy! And grateful that the trip wasn’t cancelled because I was the only passenger.

Response from the operator: Hi Anette Thank you for your heartfelt review! We’re so happy to hear that you had such a special day exploring the beautiful coastline and visiting Hermanus. It’s wonderful to know that Anthea made the experience enjoyable and personal with her friendly nature and insightful conversations about life in South Africa. We truly appreciate your support and are delighted we could still make the trip happen for you!

Agulhas and MORE

Leticia was a guide host and tour guide. She was very friendly and shared so much about Cape Town and the surrounding communities and I have a greater appreciation for the Cape Town area. I'd recommend any tour with her.

Response from the operator: Hi Anthony We’re truly delighted to hear about your experience with Leticia. She is passionate about sharing the stories, culture, and spirit of Cape Town, and it’s so special to know that her knowledge and warmth gave you a deeper appreciation for the city and its surrounding communities. Your recommendation means a great deal to us, and we’ll be sure to pass on your kind words to Leticia. We hope to welcome you back again soon for another memorable tour experience!

Comfortable trip to Southern Tip of Africa

I really wanted to visit the southernmost part of the African continent, so I applied for this tour. And I was satisfied because I went there very comfortably. However, the driver wandered for more than 20-30 minutes because he did not know the exact location of the Southern Tip of Africa. He did not find the way exactly even though there was a notice, and he did not know that the area around the lighthouse was under construction, so it seems that he was not an experienced guide.

Response from the operator: Goodday We’re pleased to hear that you were able to visit the southernmost tip of the African continent comfortably and that the tour itself met your expectations in that regard. At the same time, we sincerely apologize for the delay and confusion experienced at the Southern Tip of Africa. We would like to clarify that this was a new guide, who is very enthusiastic and passionate about his new career. While his motivation and dedication are strong, he is still gaining experience and familiarity with certain locations, especially with recent changes such as construction around the lighthouse area. We understand how this affected your experience and truly appreciate your patience and understanding. Your feedback is extremely valuable and helps us improve our training and preparation. Thank you again for joining the tour, and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back for an even smoother experience in the future.

Cape Agulhas Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cape Town.

How much does Cape Agulhas Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $4500 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cape Town usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cape Agulhas Tour take?

+

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cape Town is not rushed.

Is Cape Agulhas Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 24 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cape Town, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cape Agulhas Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cape Agulhas Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Cape Agulhas Tour?

+

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Town can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Town and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cape Agulhas Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cape Town within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cape Town?

+

On Outty we rank every Cape Town experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cape of Good Hope and Boulders Penguins Day Tour from Cape Town, Table Mountain, Boulders Penguins and Cape point Day Tour, Wine Tour: Paarl, Franschhoek & Stellenbosch incl 3 wineries. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cape Town?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cape Town?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
