    Amazing Private Catamaran

Our private catamaran experience aboard Samba 1 was absolutely incredible! From the moment we stepped on board, the crew provided outstanding service and made us feel welcome and well taken care of throughout the trip. The only little hiccup we had was when we were checking in a young lady by the name of Ana who was rude to our guide, which I did not appreciate. The ambiance was perfect—relaxing, beautiful, and exactly what we were hoping for. Whether we were soaking up the sun, enjoying the scenery, or just spending time together, everything felt effortless and special. If you’re looking for an unforgettable private catamaran experience with exceptional hospitality, I highly recommend Samba 1. We can’t wait to do it again! To Jesus,Julio,Capitan Cesar and Alexa you guys made this experience awesome!!!

Save your time money and sanity

I genuinely cannot stress this enough: do not waste a single dollar or minute of your life on this boat trip. What’s marketed as a relaxing escape to a beautiful island turns into an exhausting circus the second you arrive. Instead of enjoying the scenery, you’re relentlessly chased down by vendors pushing bracelets, hats, massages—anything they can get you to buy. It’s less “tropical paradise” and more “high-pressure outdoor mall.” Save yourself the frustration and skip this entirely

    Nightmare in Isla Mujeres

We booked the catamaran tour from Cancun to Isla Mujeres on January 29, 2026. The crew was friendly and drinks were good. We sat at the back of the boat because my husband had hurt his knee and could not snorkel. There were so many boats in the water and so many people. After snorkeling we headed to the Island for lunch at Za Zas. It was terrible the food was barely edible. I brought granola bars in my bag and ate them. The beach was horrible and smelled really bad. We were then to go by boat to shopping. I went to the bathroom after lunch and my husband came with me. When we came out the boat was gone. The people sitting with us told the crew that we were not on the boat and they were told we were up top. We arranged a cab into town where the shopping was but did not know what dock our boat would be going to. We were told there were 3 docks. We did not get a chance to shop or enjoy our afternoon at all we spent the time looking for familiar faces and the boat. It turned out there was a 4th dock and that is where our boat was. We finally connected and took the boat back to Cancun. The crew apologized and said that they had come back to look for us but the people on the boat said they did not. It was a very stressful and bad experience.

    Would recommend this trip

Would recommend this tour. Andy our rep was very helpful and made the trip very nice. Would probably wait till your on the island to rent the go cart as time was not enough, maybe would have just taken a walk and then chill in the beach

Cancun : All Inclusive Catamaran Tour to Isla Mujeres: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cancun.

How much does Cancun : All Inclusive Catamaran Tour to Isla Mujeres cost?

    +

Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cancun usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cancun : All Inclusive Catamaran Tour to Isla Mujeres take?

    +

Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cancun is not rushed.

Is Cancun : All Inclusive Catamaran Tour to Isla Mujeres worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 46 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cancun, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cancun : All Inclusive Catamaran Tour to Isla Mujeres?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cancun : All Inclusive Catamaran Tour to Isla Mujeres suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Cancun : All Inclusive Catamaran Tour to Isla Mujeres?

    +

Around 16 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cancun can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cancun and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cancun : All Inclusive Catamaran Tour to Isla Mujeres start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cancun within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cancun?

    +

On Outty we rank every Cancun experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Early Access to Chichen Itza All Inclusive with Valladolid and Cenote Swim, Whale Shark Tour from Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Tulum and Riviera Maya, Small-Group 3 Hidden Cenotes Adventure with Tequila Tasting. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cancun?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cancun?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
