Excellent personal wine tour
We are repeat offenders with Camino Wine Tours - great fun with a very knowledgeable guide. Having personal contacts at the wineries, Louis gets you behind the scenes for private walk arounds. Excellent.
Response from the operator: Dear Ian Thank you for booking a wine tour with us again. So glad you enjoyed again another wine tour with Louis. Thank you for your review. Antoinette

Great experience with Jan
Our small group had an amazing time with Jan over the last weekend in April; he's a winemaker himself and taught us a ton about wine in between each visit and lunch. He also drove us through Stellanbosch and told us some about the town and university. He was prompt in pickup and dropoff from the waterfront in Cape Town, and his vehicle was comfortable for our size. The wineries were all great options, and we'd love to come back and do another tour sometime with Camino. This was our 2nd!

Great wines and times
Great time! Louis took us to the most amazing wineries. That you Louis! The neat lart was he knew where to go. There was another tour a little cheaper but was customized to take you where you wanted to go. If you do t ha e an agenda- -this tour is superb!
Response from the operator: Hi Alice, thank you for the review and doing the tour with me. We always try to adapt the tour as best we can to the guests, like going for an early lunch after the first wine tasting. It was also a pleasure to show you the different types of wineries and what they had to offer.

Private tour (and tour guide!) that made us feel like VIPs
Our group of four really enjoyed our recent tour with Martin! Not only did we visit some amazing and beautiful wineries, but Martin also shared really interesting ‘behind the scenes’ insight as someone who used to work in the wine business. We especially appreciated that the itinerary chose wineries where big tour buses don’t stop—at most of them we were the only ones there and it felt like totally private events. An added appreciation to Antoinette and Martin: we planned this tour for the day we were catching an evening flight and it was so helpful to be able to bring our luggage with us and just get dropped at the airport at the tour’s conclusion. Made the day (which otherwise would have been stressful with managing luggage between our check-out and departure times) MUCH more enjoyable. Would absolutely recommend this tour (with Martin especially!) for anyone who wants to learn more about and visit wonderful SA vineyards.
Response from the operator: Dear Ashlyn Only a pleasure. Was great planning your day and glad we could assist with dropping you of at the Airport after your tour. I have forwarded the message to Martin also. Thank you again for booking. Kind Regards Antoinette

Great day a vinyards.
We had a great day on a wine tour. We even got a booking for lunch at a place that we hoped for even if it was fully booked. Great day!
Response from the operator: Hello Nina, so good to hear you enjoyed your wine tour day out with Louis. Yes we were lucky to get you into Delaire on the day. But with years of experience and contacts on the estates, this is part of the magic we arrange for our clients. Thank you for booking and hope to see you on a next tour in a different wine region of the Cape.

Camino Private Package wine experience PICKUP from CAPE TOWN: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cape Town.
How much does Camino Private Package wine experience PICKUP from CAPE TOWN cost?
+
Prices start at $2454 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cape Town usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Camino Private Package wine experience PICKUP from CAPE TOWN take?
+
Plan for about 7 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cape Town is not rushed.
Is Camino Private Package wine experience PICKUP from CAPE TOWN worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 12 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable food & drink in Cape Town, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Camino Private Package wine experience PICKUP from CAPE TOWN?
+
No. This experience is sold on a non-refundable basis, so only book a date you are confident about. Similar experiences in the city do offer free cancellation if flexibility matters more than price.
Is Camino Private Package wine experience PICKUP from CAPE TOWN suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 7-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Camino Private Package wine experience PICKUP from CAPE TOWN?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cape Town can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cape Town and add a light layer if any part of the 7-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Camino Private Package wine experience PICKUP from CAPE TOWN start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cape Town within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cape Town?
+
On Outty we rank every Cape Town experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Cape of Good Hope and Boulders Penguins Day Tour from Cape Town, Table Mountain, Boulders Penguins and Cape point Day Tour, Wine Tour: Paarl, Franschhoek & Stellenbosch incl 3 wineries. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cape Town?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cape Town?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
