About this experience
The Private Tour in Kuala Lumpur The Cameron Highlands areas was originally discovered in 1885 by William Cameron, a British government Surveyor who came across, "A fine plateau with gentle slopes, shut in by loftier mountains", whilst hacking a path up through dense jungle on a mapping expedition. Creating a hill station in the area was first voiced in 1888 by Sir Hugh Low, a Perak resident who suggested it might be a suitable place for a retreat and farmland. For a long period very little happened, it was not until 1925, over 40 years after William Cameron's original discovery, when Sir George Maxwell visited the area and it was decided to develop it into a hill station.

Beautiful day
Mr. Simba accompanied us on this beautiful day. He accompanied us to the Honda Bene Farm, Butterfly Farm (the only flaw was the conditions of some animals, especially the guinea pigs and sheep), Flower and Cactus Farm. The most beautiful part came at the moment of the Cameron Highlands, truly unique. We recommend trying their teas, the lemon grass and lemon and honey ones are delicious. The stop to meet the aborigines and the small waterfall surrounded by typical stalls was very pleasant. Thank you for these beautiful memories!

Great tour to Cameron Highlands
Tour guide Siva was great - he arrived on time, we had a great day seeing all the promised sights and we got back to the city in due time. All was well planned and I had an amazing day!

Very enjoyable day
We wanted to see more of the Malaysian countryside and had the most enjoyable day with our guide Ravi. He gave us very interesting information throughout the day, and looked after us all along. We loved the scenery, the plants, rose garden visit to the tea plantation. I would recommend this to anyone who has a free day.
Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you very much for sharing your travel experience you had with us.We glad you had an enjoyable day too. We look forward to welcoming you back to MALAYSIA.

Great day tour with very knowledgable guide!
We did a day tour to Cameron Highlands from Kuala Lumpur with Mr Ravi. He was punctual, very friendly and highly knowlegeable - not only about the Highlands, bit about Malaysia in general. We really enjoyed our stay at the tea farm - the other stops on the road, however, weren't as interesting & the ride is very long - 4h each way. Looking forward, we'd recommend staying at the tea plantation longer and reducing the other stops. Overall a nice experience!
Response from the operator: Thank you for your feedback - we appreciate having you as a customer and your feedback helps us serve better.

Why this scores 58
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Cameron Highlands Amazing Day Trip Tour with Local Lunch: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Kuala Lumpur.
How much does Cameron Highlands Amazing Day Trip Tour with Local Lunch cost?
+
Prices start at $160 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Kuala Lumpur usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cameron Highlands Amazing Day Trip Tour with Local Lunch take?
+
Plan for about 12 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Kuala Lumpur is not rushed.
Is Cameron Highlands Amazing Day Trip Tour with Local Lunch worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 58 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Kuala Lumpur, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cameron Highlands Amazing Day Trip Tour with Local Lunch?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cameron Highlands Amazing Day Trip Tour with Local Lunch suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 12-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cameron Highlands Amazing Day Trip Tour with Local Lunch?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Kuala Lumpur can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Kuala Lumpur and add a light layer if any part of the 12-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cameron Highlands Amazing Day Trip Tour with Local Lunch start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Kuala Lumpur within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Kuala Lumpur?
+
On Outty we rank every Kuala Lumpur experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Sambal Streets Kuala Lumpur Food Tour with 15+ Tastings, Genting Highland & Batu Cave Guided Day Tour (SIC/Shared Tour), Private Half-Day Batu Caves and Cutural Tour in Kuala Lumpur. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Kuala Lumpur?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Kuala Lumpur?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
