    • Wheelchair accessible
    • Infants and small children can ride in a pram or stroller
    • Public transportation options are available nearby
    • Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
    • Transportation options are wheelchair accessible
    • All areas and surfaces are wheelchair accessible
    • Not recommended for travelers with spinal injuries
    • Not recommended for pregnant travelers
    • Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
    • Suitable for all physical fitness levels
    • SAFETY INFORMATION A safety briefing is provided to all guests before they mount the camel. The guide explains how the camel will stand up and sit down, what movements guests should expect, how to remain comfortable and stable during the ride, and how to follow the guide's instructions. Guests are reassured and given time to feel comfortable before the ride begins
    • MOUNTING AND DISMOUNTING Guests are assisted by the guides when mounting and dismounting. The camel is fully kneeling before the guest mounts or dismounts. When standing up, the camel raises its rear legs first, causing the rider to move slightly forward, and then raises its front legs, bringing the rider slightly backward. When kneeling down, the movement is reversed: the front legs lower first, followed by the rear legs. Guests must remain seated and follow the guide's instructions until the camel is completely kneeling.
    • PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS The maximum rider weight is 110 kg (242 lb). One guest rides per camel. Guests must be able to sit independently on the camel and follow the guide's instructions during the ride. There is no specific height restriction, but guests must be physically able to mount, dismount and remain seated safely with the assistance of the guide
    • RECOMMENDED ATTIRE Comfortable clothing is recommended. Closed, secure footwear suitable for sand and uneven outdoor terrain is recommended. Sun protection, including a hat and sunglasses, is also recommended.
    • SUPERVISION DURING THE RIDE Guests are supervised throughout the entire camel ride. The number of guides is adapted to the size of the group. For example, for a group of 12 guests, three guides accompany the ride, with one guide at the front, one alongside the group and one at the rear. Guides remain available throughout the experience to answer questions, assist guests and help take photographs.
    • CAMEL WELFARE Camel welfare is an important part of our operation. One guest rides per camel, with a maximum rider weight of 110 kg (242 lb), to avoid overloading the animals. Dar Souss Loisir has a group of 24 camels and limits each excursion to a maximum of 12 guests. This allows additional camels to remain resting while other camels are being used. Our camels are monitored and have access to veterinary care from a veterinarian who follows their health and welfare. Guests are asked to follow the guides' instructions and to treat the animals calmly and respectfully throughout the experience.
    • HEALTH AND MOBILITY Camel riding involves mounting, dismounting and repeated body movement and may not be suitable for everyone. Guests with significant problems affecting the back, neck, hips, knees, joints, balance or mobility are advised not to participate unless they have determined that the activity is appropriate for them. Guests with relevant medical conditions should consult their healthcare professional before participating.
    • PREGNANCY AND HEART CONDITIONS Camel riding is not recommended for pregnant guests or guests with heart conditions. Guests with these conditions should not participate in the camel ride.
    • SENIOR GUESTS Senior guests must be physically able to mount and dismount the camel with assistance and remain seated safely during the ride. Our guides speak with senior guests before the ride and discuss their preferred riding duration. Depending on their comfort level and physical ability, guests may choose a shorter riding period, such as approximately 30 minutes, 1 hour or 1.5 hours. The guest's comfort and ability are taken into consideration throughout the experience.
    • MEETING AND PICKUP — CRUISE PASSENGERS Cruise passengers arriving at Agadir port normally arrange a taxi transfer to the ranch. For convenience, Dar Souss Loisir can arrange a taxi service for guests. The taxi is paid directly by the guests. The assigned taxi is Taxi No. 1080. Before the pickup, Dar Souss Loisir sends the guest a photograph of the taxi via WhatsApp so that the guest can identify the correct vehicle. Guests should follow the pickup instructions provided by Dar Souss Loisir and confirm the vehicle and driver before leaving the port.
    • ACCESSIBILITY — VEHICLE The taxi used for the transfer can accommodate guests travelling with a wheelchair or mobility aid. Guests using a wheelchair or mobility aid should inform us in advance so that the appropriate arrangements can be confirmed.
    • ACCESSIBILITY — RANCH Restrooms are available at the ranch. The ranch is an outdoor environment and the camel mounting area has a sandy surface.
    • DISTANCE AND TERRAIN Guests are welcomed directly at the ranch. The taxi drop-off point is approximately 5 metres from the camel mounting area. The area immediately around the camel mounting point is sandy and may therefore be uneven underfoot. Guests should wear secure, comfortable footwear suitable for sand and outdoor terrain.

    Beware of taxi drivers...

Beware of taxi drivers who pressure you to take you on additional tours. But the camel ride experience was peaceful and relaxing.

Left behind but rescued by a kind taxi driver

After receiving our confirmation email from the operator I had one more question--what else do I need to do right now to confirm? The response was, "There is nothing else you need to do right now. Your reservation is confirmed with us directly." I had a high level of confidence that all was well. But on the day of our tour we followed the instructions to exit the port to meet our driver. No one was there to meet us. We were lucky to find a kind taxi driver who looked at my email confirmation, contacted the tour operator and sorted out the mix-up. The original driver had already left with other guests from the cruise ship. The helpful taxi driver took us to the location, described in our email as a "ranch". Photo included. We were a bit put off by being left behind, but the taxi driver who helped us was super friendly and kind. He was the best part of our excursion that day. The young man guiding us during the ride was also very friendly and we appreciated chatting with him along the way. He kindly offered to take our photos several times as we rode along, stopping to do so. The photos are very nice. As other reviewers have said the route taken for the actual ride is not very scenic, lots of trash along the way. And the eventual destination, the river was pretty basic. However it was a nice experience to have ridden a camel and we enjoyed the lovely tea and biscuits at the end of the ride. If you are intrigued by the idea of riding a camel I would definitely recommend it. But if you are kind of interested but not sure, I would skip this activity.

Response from the operator: Dear Guest, Thank you sincerely for taking the time to share your experience, and for doing so with such fairness and balance. We owe you a genuine apology for what happened at the port that day. Due to an exceptional circumstance — our coordinator Asmaa, who normally manages all pickup logistics, was away in Rabat sitting her Master's degree exam in Data & Artificial Intelligence — a trainee was handling operations for the first time. Unfortunately, your names were not added to the pickup list, which caused the confusion you experienced. This is entirely our responsibility and we are truly sorry. We are however relieved and grateful that our second driver — who works exclusively with us — was there to step in and bring you to the ranch safely. He may not have been the driver you were expecting, but he is very much part of our team! We are also glad that our guide made your ride enjoyable, and that the mint tea brought a warm ending to your day. Regarding the route and the river: we always strive to be honest with our guests. The landscape is authentic and natural, not a manicured tourist setting — and we are actively working with local authorities to address the litter issue along the path, which unfortunately reflects a wider environmental challenge in the region. Your feedback helps us improve, and since this incident, Asmaa has implemented a double-verification system for all pickup lists. We are proud to say she passed her exam! We hope that despite this difficult start, the memory of riding a camel in Morocco remains a special one. We would love the opportunity to welcome you again one day and show you the full experience you deserved. With warm regards, Lahoucine, Sanaa & Asmaa Dar Souss Loisir — Agadir, since 2005

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Agadir.

How much does Camel Ride in Agadir Shore Excursion cost?

    +

Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Agadir usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Camel Ride in Agadir Shore Excursion take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Agadir is not rushed.

Is Camel Ride in Agadir Shore Excursion worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 28 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Agadir, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Camel Ride in Agadir Shore Excursion?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Camel Ride in Agadir Shore Excursion suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Camel Ride in Agadir Shore Excursion?

    +

Around 10 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Agadir can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Agadir and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Agadir within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Agadir?

    +

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Agadir?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Agadir?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
