A fantastic wonderful day
An unbelievably fantastic day trip. Our guide Heba, knowledgeable & friendly, Arrived on time for pick up, went to the most beautiful mosques, churches & synagogues, passed though Garbage City, where the local population (known as Jabeleens) men, women, children lived and worked amongst the recycling, an eye-opener into where the rubbish of Cairo goes and what happens to it. An emotional but interesting experience. We were lucky to share the "call to prayer" and witness the "washing abultions" and segration of men/women going to pray. An emotional, touching feeling. A fantastic wonderful full day, highly recommend

Non-professional
Tour operator was totally in experienced and unorganised. The tour was supposed to start at 8 AM, but he had informed that he will be arriving at 9 AM. at 9 AM, the driver came and picked me up and we had to wait in the car again for half an hour for the tour guide to arrive. The tour was supposed to be for nine hours, but it got concluded within three hours. the lunch was included in the trip, and I informed him about the lunch, many times, but he was reluctant to provide me with the lunch. He only assisted me with the Ciradel and b all the other places he just dropped me in front of the gate, and I had to explore by myself. so I had to request with other fellow people to click pictures of me, even though I paid for the entire trip, not proper assistance was given at all, even the AC of the car was not at all on during the entire trip, the cave, Church was included in the trip, and he wanted to conclude without showing me the cave Church, and I had to ask him many times to take me there. It is not worth to pay for nine hours. It is just at three hour trip, including too and fro. He didn’t take me to any of the Islamic Cairo places which was a part of the trip. I totally lost the money. I paid for so never ever book through this guy

All the Islamic and Coptic sites in a very full day
Full day visiting both Islamic and Coptic sites. Covered amazing amount of ground with our very competent guide (Saul?). Only issue was his think accent which made it difficult to understand his commentary

Wonderful Time!
Had the most amazing day being guided by Rasha. She gave great history of the area as we drove to our first spot. She made it clear that we can take our time and that she can take photos of us as desired. We loved the Citadel and Muhammad Ali Mosque. Loved the details about Islam Rasha provided. We got to go out to Cave Church which was amazing! Our driver did a good job there and truly the whole day. We also were able to see the Hanging Church, Ben Ezra Synagogue, and Saint Sergius & Bacchus Church. Rasha provided us with great information at every location. She offered us the opportunities to shop and have lunch. We could have gone to the Bazaar but instead went to the School of Carpets. Rasha checked in with us to make sure we were having a good time and that each stop was to our satisfaction. She even offered to book evening activities for us. We had a nice time with Rasha as our guide for the day.

Cairo Sightseeing Tour to Citadel & Old Cairo & Cave Church and Islamic Cairo: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cairo.
How much does Cairo Sightseeing Tour to Citadel & Old Cairo & Cave Church and Islamic Cairo cost?
+
Prices start at $1 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cairo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cairo Sightseeing Tour to Citadel & Old Cairo & Cave Church and Islamic Cairo take?
+
Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cairo is not rushed.
Is Cairo Sightseeing Tour to Citadel & Old Cairo & Cave Church and Islamic Cairo worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 62 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.9/5 across 11 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cairo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cairo Sightseeing Tour to Citadel & Old Cairo & Cave Church and Islamic Cairo?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cairo Sightseeing Tour to Citadel & Old Cairo & Cave Church and Islamic Cairo suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cairo Sightseeing Tour to Citadel & Old Cairo & Cave Church and Islamic Cairo?
+
Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cairo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cairo and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cairo Sightseeing Tour to Citadel & Old Cairo & Cave Church and Islamic Cairo start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cairo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cairo?
+
On Outty we rank every Cairo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All-in-One Giza Tour, inside Pyramid, sphinx, Camel ride & lunch, VIP Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx Tour –Inside the Pyramids&More, Best of Cairo Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Grand Museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cairo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cairo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
