Great Tour with Super Guide
Amazing tour of Pyramids, Sphinx and Museum with Sayed Mahmoud and our driver Manem. They were knowledgeable, friendly and we had such an amazing time. Would highly recommend both of them.

SCAM ALERT: This fake tour is a SCAM - beware!!!
(1) This is a fake tour and scam - DO NOT waste your time and money and live to regret booking this tour. You can just make your way to the pyramids by yourself via public transport or via a taxi/Uber. You can then buy tickets upon entry (there wasn't much of a queue when I arrived at around 10:30AM-11:00AM on a weekday morning) and make your way around the pyramids by yourself. There is a small indoor museum with information also in English which you can read yourself as well as a shuttle bus which takes you to various stops within the pyramids (around 3-5 stops I think depending on what type of ticket you have purchased) and you can ask other tourists or staff if you are unsure about anything. (2) The real purpose of this fake tour is to extort as much money out of you as possible via currency exchange rates (USD vs EGP) e.g. they purchase tickets in local currency and sell it to you in US Dollars and then pocket the difference, a pointless tour guide (who will not provide you with any useful information or information which isn't already available to you) and by taking you against your will to tourist shops to pressure you into buying things you don't want so that they can make more money for themselves. Your happiness and enjoyment at the pyramids is of no concern to them - they couldn't care less - all they care about is your money. (3) The tour is advertised as half a day/4 hours, but will actually last for about 1 hour i.e. around 1 hour spent in the pyramids (around 15 minutes in the indoor museum and around 45 minutes outdoors in the actual pyramids) and the rest of the time at tourist shops - you may easily spend more time at the tourist shops than at the pyramids themselves! (4) The real purpose of the tour guide is to hasten you through the pyramids and then to take you to some tourist shops (to make money out of you) against your will and which is NOT part of the agreed itinerary (a perfume shop and a papyrus shop as of October 2025). (5) You will notice that your tour guide will ask you for your phone and offer to take photos for you. This is not the tour guide being courteous but is actually a tactic to control you. You will also note that the tour guide will move you along quickly through the pyramids, but will leave you alone and give you as much time and space as you need when at the perfume/papyrus shops i.e. tourist shops. In these shops you may feel cornered and pressured into making a purchase against your free will. The perfume will be sold to you at an extortionate price (around £70 GBP or $90 USD). They will claim that it is made from expensive oils and has health benefits etc. I believe that the tour guide receives a commission from these shops, hence why he/she will hasten you through the pyramids but will give you all the time and space that you need whilst at the tourist shops. (6) You may also note that the tour guide may ask you for a tip, even asking persistently and making you feel uncomfortable. (7) When you ask for a refund (full or partial) from EMO Tours Egypt they will refuse outright. (8) I am from the UK and managed to get a full refund plus £100 compensation from my bank NatWest under the chargeback scheme in relation to the perfume which I purchased against my will. (9) I am still pursuing a refund and compensation in relation to the tour itself via my other bank Santander (as of March 2026), but this is being referred to the Financial Ombudsman as Santander has so far refused a refund claiming that it is all subjective.

An Amazing Day at the Giza Pyramids
A private guide to tour the pyramids makes the experience much better. My guide Osama was a wonderful guide— knowledgeable and affable. He was also the best photographer— that was a huge bonus. The driver, Belal, arrived on time to pick me up for the tour. We met up with my guide Osama close to the pyramids. Belal stopped on the way to get me some snacks. That was kind and thoughtful as this was not included in the cost of the trip. Highly recommended

The best way to visit the Pyramids! Thanks to Aladdin!
An excellent tour of the Pyramids and the Sphinx from start to finish. Everything was well organized, from timing to logistics, which made the experience smooth and stress free. Our guide, Aladdin, truly made the difference. His knowledge of the history, symbolism, and construction of the Pyramids and the Sphinx was impressive, and he explained everything in a clear, engaging way. You can immediately tell he has years of experience guiding visitors on this site. Beyond his expertise, Aladdin was extremely friendly, approachable, and attentive. He took the time to answer every question, adapted the pace to the group, and shared many fascinating details that you would never get from a standard guidebook. We could even add a stop in a local restaurant with a view of the pyramids to finish the day, which was not anticipated, but highly appreciated! A well organized, enriching, and memorable visit. Highly recommended, especially with a guide like Aladin.

Cairo Half day tours to Giza Pyramids and Sphinx: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cairo.
How much does Cairo Half day tours to Giza Pyramids and Sphinx cost?
+
Prices start at $15 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cairo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Cairo Half day tours to Giza Pyramids and Sphinx take?
+
Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cairo is not rushed.
Is Cairo Half day tours to Giza Pyramids and Sphinx worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 85 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 142 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cairo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Cairo Half day tours to Giza Pyramids and Sphinx?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Cairo Half day tours to Giza Pyramids and Sphinx suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Cairo Half day tours to Giza Pyramids and Sphinx?
+
Around 50 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cairo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cairo and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Cairo Half day tours to Giza Pyramids and Sphinx start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cairo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Cairo?
+
On Outty we rank every Cairo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All-in-One Giza Tour, inside Pyramid, sphinx, Camel ride & lunch, VIP Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx Tour –Inside the Pyramids&More, Best of Cairo Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Grand Museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Cairo?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Cairo?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
