Trip to Luxor ,great very well organised with very professional tour guide. However trip to Giza was a poor tourture. Agency advertised it as a 19 hours trip. Don't let yourself to be fulled. It's a actually 26 + hours trip. Only collection from all hotels takes at least 2 hours then the drive to Giza takes and additional 7 hours. We left hotel at 2300 and arrived to Cairo at 830. Even though we didn't buy Nile boat trip, you were forced to do it and pay an extra 10 $. As egyptian tour guides has a an agreement with all the attractions providers and wants to make more money on tourists. The plan was to hit the great egyptian museum first but the guides decided to go to Giza first. We already lost 1 hour for Nile. Giza was magical but honestly you don't need 2 hours there. Agian they almost forced you to buy a camel or horse ride. Again agreements.... After all Piramid& Sphinx experience we head of to...perfume shop which was not in the plan...again tour guides trying you to spent more money. After that we went for lunch. In the trip description we were promised restaurant with the Piramid view...of course it didn't happen. We had dirty Cairo street view. After 2 hours spinning in egyptian traffic, we eventually got to the museum... 1 hour waiting in the queue and then 2 hours Discovering. By the time you got in, you r that tired that there is no interest left. Instead of planned 4 pm leaving Cairo, we left at 630.Got to the hotel at 125 am. If tour guide would followed a plan which was advertised, we might actually enjoy the trip but the main point is to rip you of from any money you have on you. I don't have to mention, everything is 1,2,3 or 4 dollars. They try to charge me 7 dollars for 2 kittkat and the turkey sambo in a great museum was 820 euro. Please be aware of picking Giza trip! It's not 19 hours! Different guest in our hotel used different agencies and had the same experience. Simply if they would advertised 26 plus hours ,50 proc of tourists would not go ...

Response from the operator: Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed and thoughtful review. Feedback of this depth is extremely valuable to us, particularly on TripAdvisor, where future travelers rely heavily on real experiences when making their decisions. We are genuinely pleased to know that you enjoyed the Luxor trip and found it well organized with a professional tour guide. Your positive remarks in this regard are truly appreciated. At the same time, we are sincerely sorry to learn about your disappointment with the Giza & Cairo excursion. We fully understand how physically demanding and frustrating such a long journey can be, and we regret that the experience did not meet your expectations. Allow us to address the key points you raised with full transparency: **Trip duration:** The advertised duration is calculated based on average traffic conditions and standard hotel pick-up routes. However, it is important to note that some hotels in Marsa Alam are located very far south, which can significantly extend transfer times. Despite our continuous efforts to optimize routes, provide comfortable and high-quality vehicles, and save as much time as possible, external factors such as traffic congestion, police checkpoints, and multiple hotel collections—especially on long-distance trips to Cairo—can unfortunately lead to delays. In response to such challenges, we have already introduced alternative solutions, including Cairo trips by domestic flight, to offer our guests a more comfortable and time-efficient option. We genuinely consider our guests part of our extended family, and we continuously strive to improve and offer the best possible experience. **Optional activities (Nile boat, camel or horse ride): These activities are strictly optional and should never be presented as mandatory. If at any point you felt pressured, we sincerely apologize, as this does not reflect our standards. It is worth noting that some guests wish to experience every available activity during the tour, and our role is to make these options available while respecting each guest’s personal choice. For travelers seeking full flexibility, we also offer **private Cairo tours from Marsa Alam**, where guests can choose exactly which sites to visit and design a personalized itinerary that we then execute accordingly. **Itinerary changes:** Occasionally, adjustments in the order of visits are necessary due to crowd management, security regulations, time-slot availability, or extended transfer times from distant hotels in Marsa Alam. Nevertheless, such changes should always be clearly explained in advance. We regret that this communication was not handled properly in your case. **Lunch location:** In some situations, the restaurant may be changed to ensure better food quality and hygiene standards. Our priority is always the quality of the meal rather than the view, especially as the main panoramic experiences are already covered during the sightseeing program itself. That said, we fully understand your expectations and appreciate your comment. **Shopping stops:** While some tours may include optional shopping stops, these should never feel forced or excessive. Your feedback has been carefully noted and will be reviewed internally. Regarding prices at shops, museums, or roadside stops: these are unfortunately beyond the control of tour operators, particularly in highly touristic areas. However, guides are expected to advise guests clearly and help them avoid uncomfortable or misleading situations. We would like to emphasize very clearly that **our intention is never to take advantage of our guests**, but rather to deliver a complete and enriching experience under often challenging logistical conditions, especially on long-distance Cairo trips from Marsa Alam. Your experience has highlighted areas where we must improve, and we take this responsibility seriously. We sincerely appreciate your honesty and the time you invested in writing this review. Open and honest feedback helps motivate our team, strengthens our commitment to improvement, and allows us to better serve all future travelers. Should you wish, we would welcome the opportunity to discuss your experience privately. Please feel free to contact us via direct message so we can better understand the details and work toward restoring your confidence. Thank you once again for sharing your experience. We truly hope to have the opportunity to welcome you again and provide you with a better journey—one that leaves you with beautiful memories of Egypt that you will always remember.

Egypt only with El Sahel Travel

The best travel agency in Egypt. We bought a total of five optional trips on various topics. Super Cairo with the pyramids, Super Luxor, intro diving, mega safari, and Hurgada tour. We were a family of four. The travel agency provided us with everything we needed: formalities, attractions, transfer, food and everything at an extra low price, and trips in Polish just as we wanted with very friendly guides who have great knowledge about Egypt and everything that interested us, passionate people. We provided the holiday date and the entire schedule was finalized, of course, just as it suited us. We liked Egypt very much and we will definitely come back, of course, only with this travel agency thanks to which we got to know this wonderful African country. We highly recommend it... if you want to go on holiday, go only with El sahel travel

Cairo Grand Egyptian Museum & Pyramids from Hurghada: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Giza.

How much does Cairo Grand Egyptian Museum & Pyramids from Hurghada cost?

+

Prices start at $60 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Giza usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cairo Grand Egyptian Museum & Pyramids from Hurghada take?

+

Plan for about 24 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Giza is not rushed.

Is Cairo Grand Egyptian Museum & Pyramids from Hurghada worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.7/5 across 10 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Giza, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cairo Grand Egyptian Museum & Pyramids from Hurghada?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cairo Grand Egyptian Museum & Pyramids from Hurghada suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 1. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 24-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Cairo Grand Egyptian Museum & Pyramids from Hurghada?

+

Around 4 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Giza can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Giza and add a light layer if any part of the 24-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cairo Grand Egyptian Museum & Pyramids from Hurghada start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Giza within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Giza?

+

On Outty we rank every Giza experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pyramids Sphinx Camel ATV Bike Shopping and Nile Dinner Cruise, Cairo 8 Hour Private Tour of Pyramids & Grand Egyptian Museum, Pyramids Sphinx and Grand Egyptian Museum Nile Felucca or Bazaar. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Giza?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Giza?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
