Awesome group activity!

I was hosting a tour in Cairo, and the participants went on this tour. It was five American women, and they came back, absolutely raving about it. They had fun, loved the Tour Guide, and loved all the food. Was a great way for them to try local foods, see downtown, all with a Tour Guide!

Response from the operator: Thanks so much for trusting us with your guests! We’re thrilled the group had a blast, loved their guide, and got to taste the best of Downtown Cairo. If you’re hosting again, we’d love to take care of your travelers—Cairo or any of our other cities (Istanbul, Athens, Lisbon, Paris, Tokyo, and more). Reach out anytime and we’ll set up an easy, worry-free food adventure!

Experience the foods of Cairo with Luu a must

Our guide Luu was excellent . She contacted us by what’s app and that went well . We took an uber to meet her . I felt safe in her company . We started our tour with juice and went to 7 places all yummy . When she says .. feel like a local she meant it . Luu stayed with us till the Uber came to get us . Back in hotel we are ratting the custard pastry and cup of tea .

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We’re delighted to hear you had such a great time with Luu and enjoyed the local food experiences. Our goal at Foodprint Tours is to make you truly feel like a local, and it’s fantastic to know Luu made you feel safe, cared for, and well fed from start to finish. Enjoy that custard pastry with tea — sounds like the perfect ending! We hope to welcome you on another of our tours in one of the many cities where we operate. —The Foodprint Tours Team

Food walking tour in Cairo

It was my first time with them and for sure it won't be my last time. I tried the food walking tour in the beautiful downtown in city of Cairo with my family and friends and we all loved it.. The guide, the food & the walk through the hidden gems of the city was simply amazing.. We ended our walk on a famous café for dessert and tea with mint.. It was one of the best tours I've ever had and the best way to know more about the country. Thank you ☺️👌👌

The most traditional Egyptian food

We had such a great experience! Amina, our tour guide, was amazing. She took us to all these incredible places and had us try the most traditional Egyptian food—places I wouldn’t have gone to if it weren’t for her. I totally recommend this tour!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! We're thrilled to hear you had a great experience with Amina — she truly loves sharing the best of Egyptian culture and cuisine. It was our pleasure to offer this private tour, and we're so glad you enjoyed the more local, authentic spots that are often missed. We really appreciate your recommendation! 🌟

Cairo Autumn Downtown Street Food Walking Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cairo.

How much does Cairo Autumn Downtown Street Food Walking Tour cost?

+

Prices start at $29 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cairo usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Cairo Autumn Downtown Street Food Walking Tour take?

+

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cairo is not rushed.

Is Cairo Autumn Downtown Street Food Walking Tour worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 66 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 22 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cairo, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Cairo Autumn Downtown Street Food Walking Tour?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Cairo Autumn Downtown Street Food Walking Tour suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Cairo Autumn Downtown Street Food Walking Tour?

+

Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cairo can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cairo and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Cairo Autumn Downtown Street Food Walking Tour start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cairo within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cairo?

+

On Outty we rank every Cairo experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include All-in-One Giza Tour, inside Pyramid, sphinx, Camel ride & lunch, VIP Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx Tour –Inside the Pyramids&More, Best of Cairo Private Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and Grand Museum Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cairo?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cairo?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
