Monkeys!
I was really lucky, not only had the rains stopped but we saw so many troops of monkeys including babies. Most people go to see the sloths but I have a thing for monkeys We saw two toed sloths, a 3 toed sloths, an eyelash pit viper, a Boa, Iguanas, a caimán, a basilik and loads of capuchins and howler monkeys, I was in my element. I have been to Cahuita before but never seen so many monkeys, I was very happy Shailo is really friendly and clearly knows his stuff, I'd definitely recommend him - without him I would only have spotted the monkeys on my own
Response from the operator: It was definitely a special day for wildlife, and I’m so glad the conditions helped make the experience even more memorable. Monkeys are always such a joy to encounter, especially when there are babies around, and I’m happy you were able to connect with your favorite animals while also enjoying everything else nature had to offer along the way. It’s truly special for me to be able to share those moments with you and create an authentic experience where you can connect with nature in your own way. Thank you for your kind words and for recommending me. It makes me feel very special to know that I’m doing what I love the most and that I can help make your time in our hometown, the South Caribbean, even more meaningful. Thank you for supporting our local family business. We truly appreciate it. Pura vida! Shailo

Amazing wildlife tour in the Cahuita Costa Rica
Shailo (our tour guide) was very knowledgeable and super amazing at locating lots of sloths, iguanas, toucans, howler and white face capuchin monkeys, yellow eyelash viper, boa constrictor & wood viper. Shailo is very passionate about wildlife. The tour was absolutely the best tour in Cahuita area. We wouldn’t have seen and enjoyed all the wildlife without Shailo guiding us through the experience. We ultimately recommend the Cahuita wildlife tour. 🥰

It was a real pleasure guiding you through Cahuita and helping you spot so much wildlife, from sloths, toucans and monkeys to the yellow eyelash viper, boa constrictor and wood viper. How long does Cahuita National Park Guided Hike by Native Naturalistic Guide take?
+

+

+
Around 12 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Limon can sell out a month out. What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Limon and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

+

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Limon?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Limon?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
