What you get

    About this experience

Discover Český Krumlov the relaxed way — without the rushing typical of most day tours. Travel in a small group and enjoy a full-day journey combining one of Europe’s most beautiful medieval towns with an authentic Bohemian village. After hotel pickup in Prague, we head to Český Krumlov. With your guide, you’ll explore both iconic highlights and quieter corners most visitors never find. The stroll usually includes visits to local artisans such as a jeweller, blacksmith, or leather craftsman. On warm days, we may taste local craft beer too. We make a special stop in Holašovice, a tiny UNESCO-listed village, where we talk about Czech village life, traditions, and folklore. On most visits, we are welcomed by a local resident whose family has lived here for over 500 years, sharing everyday objects and personal stories of rural life. We return to Prague in the early evening. Still deciding? Read what travelers say — and come “Czech Out” this unique trip with Czech Out Tours.

    Perfect Day Trip from Prague

My two boys (ages 12 and 15) and I loved this tour. Ondřej (our tour guide) messaged us the night before with details about when he'd be picking us up, and then when traffic was heavier than usual the next morning he texted to let us know he was running a little behind. There were 3 other people on our tour with us - the perfect size. Ondřej managed to get us all talking and made sure we all knew a little bit about each other, which made it that much more enjoyable (and my boys loved that the van had WiFi). Cesky Krumlov is beautiful and we enjoyed learning about the history and the buildings as we wandered through at an easy pace. One piece of advice: book the lunch option. The meal was absolutely delicious - we all loved it. After the tour we had time for shopping and snacks, and my 12 year old got to make a necklace with the blacksmith (thank you again to our guide who brought us to meet the blacksmith after learning about my son's interests. You were right, he loved it!) We also visited the little village of Holašovice and met a local resident. This was a surprise hit with my boys as they both said multiple times after our trip how much they enjoyed meeting him. We had such a wonderful time; our only regret was we didn't have time to book another tour with Ondřej.

Response from the operator: Hi Shannon, Thank you so much for such a thoughtful review! I’m really glad the truly small group and easy pace made the day enjoyable for you and your boys. I especially love that the blacksmith visit and meeting the local resident in Holašovice became such memorable parts of the day! And yes, I’m very happy the lunch was a hit too. We’d love to welcome you back and Czech Out another place together next time. — Ondřej | Czech Out Tours

    Outstanding experience

Exceptionally well executed. Great pre-trip communications. On time pick up and drop off at our AirBnB. Jana was the perfect guide…outstanding historical knowledge, personable, patient, kind, great recommendations. I would highly recommend this tour operator. PLEASE don’t forget to tip (provide gratuity) to your guide. They earn it.

Response from the operator: Hi Barbara, Thank you so much for the wonderful review! I’m really glad everything felt smooth from the first message and pickup through to the tour itself. Jana will be very happy to hear your kind words about her guiding and recommendations. And thank you for mentioning gratuities. They are always completely optional, though of course appreciated, and we make sure our guides are paid fairly. We’d love to welcome you back and Czech Out another place with us next time. — Ondřej | Czech Out Tours

    Great for all ages!

We had such a wonderful experience with Ondrej! He was incredibly accommodating, patient, and thoughtful with our entire family. Traveling with a larger group and different ages can be challenging, but Ondrej handled everything with such ease, flexibility, and understanding. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely invested in making sure everyone was comfortable and enjoying the experience. He never made us feel rushed and was incredibly patient with all of our questions (even the kids!) and requests. His warmth and willingness to accommodate our family made the entire experience so much more enjoyable. We’re truly grateful to Ondrej for making our trip memorable. He went above and beyond, and we would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a knowledgeable, kind, and exceptionally accommodating guide!

Response from the operator: Hi Nikita, Thank you so much for the wonderful review! I’m really glad the relaxed pace worked so well for your whole family. It means a lot to hear that everyone felt comfortable and included throughout the day. Český Krumlov & Holašovice UNESCO Village Small Group Day Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Prague.

How much does Český Krumlov & Holašovice UNESCO Village Small Group Day Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $129 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Prague usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Český Krumlov & Holašovice UNESCO Village Small Group Day Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Prague is not rushed.

Is Český Krumlov & Holašovice UNESCO Village Small Group Day Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 83 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 112 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Prague, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Český Krumlov & Holašovice UNESCO Village Small Group Day Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Český Krumlov & Holašovice UNESCO Village Small Group Day Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Český Krumlov & Holašovice UNESCO Village Small Group Day Tour?

    +

Around 39 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Prague can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Prague and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Český Krumlov & Holašovice UNESCO Village Small Group Day Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Prague within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Prague?

    +

On Outty we rank every Prague experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best Reviews: Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland Day Trip From Prague, Bohemian & Saxon Switzerland From Prague-Travelers' Choice 2026, Prague Essential Tour Old Town and Jewish Quarter. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Prague?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Prague?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
