Very disappointing and poor service
Our pick up point was supposed to be in Sheraton hotel , each email with voucher including night before the trip was confirming 7 am pick up time at the Sheraton , we arrived as directed 15 min prior pick up time , by 7.05 I asked concierge if they know where is our tour and was told that gray line never pick up from Sheraton . Main office located in Sheraton and concierge was able to contact your office and instead of manager handling the situation , your office sent me tour guy who yelled and scream at us after I showed him my voucher . He start throwing his hands at me and yelling that pick up point in the different hotel and he just a tour guy , then he said it’s no managers available abd told us to take a taxi to Hilton . By 8 am no one was available to pick us up at Hilton ether , I was calling and texting your customer service . No one answers the calls , only text and we’re keep telling me to wait , by 8.40 we finally got to the bus - this is 1 hr and 40 min later from original time ( meanwhile description of the your is 7 am plus 3 hr drive ) that what we were promised . I asked numerous times in my texts for contact info for the manager / answer was ok , but info was never sent to me and all my texts were ignored . I have a screen shot of each text with a time stamp . So instead of 10 am we arrived to the Buzios at 3 pm. Your guy was not prepared , road we closed , he said he wasn’t there for 20 years and doesn’t know anything . Ty our was supposed to be in English , he hardly spoke couple sentences in our language , the rest was in Portugal We paid $ 160.00 to enjoy the beach , sun , shopping . Instead we had fast not even good lunch and 20 min at the beach , got to the boat ride at 4.15 and after boat ride had exactly one hour to enjoy the town . Now it’s 11 pm , we still on the road back to Rio , another 1 he 30 min to go . No manager ever contacted us , nether I got his info from your reps . We wasted 8 hr on the road 7 am - 3 pm there , and 3 plus hours back This is the worse experience ever with your company , the worse customer service , not what we were promised and we thinking of canceling our next your with you and rebook it with another agency . We had a tour on 12/26 to crest redemption with other agency and your guy called and texted us on his way to pick us up , was not only on time but earlier . Here you changed pick up point , never even bother to call or text , sent confirmation text day prior with Sheraton as pick up point , yelled and scream at us , never provided with manager info and wasted beautiful sunny day traveling for 12 hours instead of promised day in paradise Very disappointing and poor service !!!

Great Day in Pretty Buzios
Had a great day trip to Buzios. Enjoyed the boat and swimming opportunity. Lunch was ok. Many lovely restaurants open up for the evening so if you have time 2-3 days in Buzios might give more time to relax and enjoy. The bus trip was long. Overall 5 hrs in Buzios and 4.5 hrs to get there and due to storm 5hrs to get back to Rio.
Response from the operator: Dear Customer. Thanks a lot for the review. We are glad that you liked the tour. Please count on us on future trips. Thanks.

Terrible
This was terrible. The communication with people the boat was unprofessional. My group was told that we had to purchase extra scuba gear after we were on the boat and was too late. The DJ rarely translated what he was saying. They nickle and dime you for everything on the boat. Dont waste your time or money.

Buzios excursion
The three hour bus ride each was was a bit tedious. The boat ride was excellent. We stopped sveral times for swimming & snorkeling. After the boat ride we had a good buffet late lunch. This left just enough time to find the Brigit Bardot statue.

Beauty and the Beach
Visiting Buzios is a must! My husband and I enjoyed our visit via a tour headed by our guide Christina. She was friendly, professional and more than accomodating to all her guests throughout our trip. The boat excursion was amazing! We enjoyed snorkeling, swimming, samba dancing and slide on the boat which shoots you into the ocean! The lunch provided was amazing with many options. It was a great day ending with a beautiful sunset on the beach. Thank you Christina!

Buzios Day Trip with Lunch, City Tour and Cruise from Rio de Janeiro: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rio de Janeiro.
How much does Buzios Day Trip with Lunch, City Tour and Cruise from Rio de Janeiro cost?
+
Prices start at $366 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rio de Janeiro usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Buzios Day Trip with Lunch, City Tour and Cruise from Rio de Janeiro take?
+
Plan for about 13 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rio de Janeiro is not rushed.
Is Buzios Day Trip with Lunch, City Tour and Cruise from Rio de Janeiro worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 48 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.4/5 across 42 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rio de Janeiro, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Buzios Day Trip with Lunch, City Tour and Cruise from Rio de Janeiro?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Buzios Day Trip with Lunch, City Tour and Cruise from Rio de Janeiro suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 13-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Buzios Day Trip with Lunch, City Tour and Cruise from Rio de Janeiro?
+
Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rio de Janeiro can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rio de Janeiro and add a light layer if any part of the 13-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Buzios Day Trip with Lunch, City Tour and Cruise from Rio de Janeiro start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rio de Janeiro within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rio de Janeiro?
+
On Outty we rank every Rio de Janeiro experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Best of Rio in One Day: Christ Redeemer, Sugarloaf & Local Lunch, Pedra da Gávea hike, your best experience in Rio, Rio's Full Day: Selarón Steps, Christ & Sugarloaf – Tickets & Lunch Included. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rio de Janeiro?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rio de Janeiro?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
