Tech museum: great. Skip the garden tour.
Mixed review on this tour. We loved the kotsanas tech museum and the workshop. Would 100% recommend for kids. The garden tour was not great, and not worth the price. Our guide seemed to be lost the entire time and we eventually just gave up and let her go. The garden is easily navigated on your own - skip that part.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re delighted to hear that you and your family enjoyed the Kotsanas Museum and the workshop — it is indeed one of our favorite experiences for families with children. We are, however, very sorry that the garden portion did not meet your expectations. Your comments regarding both the value of this part of the experience and the guiding are important to us, and we are reviewing this element carefully with our partners. We truly appreciate your honest feedback, as it helps us improve the experience for future guests

A revelation
The museum is an absolute must-see -- one of the best I've visited in the last few years. It's small but packed with amazing stuff, and my guide, Dmitrios, was incredibly informative and enthusiastic! I learned an enormous amount and had lots of fun. Then I had a tour of the National Gardens with Eleni, who was wonderfully sweet and friendly. It was a really entertaining and educational afternoon, in the best way!
Response from the operator: Dear Aegina, Thank you so much for your wonderful words! We’re thrilled to hear you enjoyed both the museum and the National Gardens. Dimitrios and Eleni will be so happy to know they made your experience special. We truly appreciate your visit and hope to welcome you back for another tour soon!

Great choice for my 11yr at old
This tour was a great choice for myself and 11yr old son. We first had a guided tour of the museum which kept him engaged with every exhibit. His questions were answered in an easy to understand manner. Afterwards the tour included a guided tour through the nearby gardens. This was also great. The guide gave us a lot of history about Athens and was able to answer any questions we had. She also was able to adapt the tour to our interests and ages.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much on behalf of Specialty Tours Greece. Always at your service, we were really glad to meet you and know you enjoyed your experience with us.

Fantastic tour!
This was a fantastic and very informative tour! Anyone interested in the history of science, technology and knowledge will enjoy this a lot. The elements of Air, Water, etc., were not just philosophical abstracts but principles to be understood and manipulated through physics to great effect! Our tour guide Eva was especially enthusiastic and wonderful.
Response from the operator: Thank you so much on behalf of both Specialty Tours Greece and Eva personally. Always at your service, we were really glad to meet you and know you enjoyed your experience with us

How far in advance should I book Build the First Computer: STEM Antikythera Experience?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. What should I bring or wear?

+
On Outty we rank every Athens experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Athens Scenic Bike Tour with Regular or Electric Bike + Acropolis, Athens Small Group E-Bike Tour, Acropolis E-bike Tour With Entrance Tickets. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Athens?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Athens?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
