    Blew mind

I’ve never peeped a beach so damn gorgeous and blue it was like outta a movie, dude! haha. Pure adrenaline and non-stop vibes, plus 🙌🏾 I even hooked up a cool homie who drove the whole way while I just enjoy, cracked up, and soaked was crazy.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your lovely review! We’re so glad you enjoyed the excursion. It was our pleasure to have you with us, and we’d love to see you again on one of our other tours.

    Dirty and fun buggy

Was good from start in the safari truck to finish. The buggy was so funny and extreme for me. I learned a bit about the local culture (Mamajuana was the best, you have to try it), we visit a hired cave and spend time at a beautiful beach called macao. It was interesting for me, because I never ride this type of vehicle and was a unique experience. Don’t scare of being dirty that’s the funny part. Of course I recommend use glasses and comfortable shoes.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your kind words! We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the tour. It means a lot to us to know that we could make your experience memorable. We hope to welcome you back on another adventure soon!

    Sub-Par

This tour is fun with the Can Am or Polaris option. There is heavy sales pressure to purchase bandanas, pictures, souvenirs right when you get to the buggy ranch. The trail is very dusty and there was no mud as we were expecting. Overall, this is an average tour at best with elevated prices. There is no lunch break and the cave was disappointing. Be careful with this one - if you have been on other buggy tours, you will be disappointed with this one…

Response from the operator: We are sorry that you did not like our Buggy tour, we have many good reviews about it and it is one of the most popular. We will honor your request regarding selling goods at the ranch, but our strong recommendation to wear glasses and a bandana during the tour is based on our extensive experience leading buggies and comments from previous clients who regretted not following our recommendations and experienced problems with dust and spray during the tour. The road conditions the buggy travels on depend on the weather – if it rains, there will be puddles and mud; if it doesn't rain, there will be dust, it is something we cannot control. Our tour price is among the lowest on the market. Since the entire tour lasts approximately three hours, lunch is not included, but our guests always enjoy hot chocolate and mamajuana at one of the stops. We will be happy to see you again in the Dominican Republic!

Do not spend your money on any of these “buggy” tours. The “buggies” are junk, pieced together, and barely hanging on. I don’t understand all the reviews that mention the high quality of the equipment, that simply is not the case. During your tour your line of buggies will be grouped with 3-5 other groups at each stop. The tour moves very slowly with a top speed of maybe 15mph, you will see 7-10 broken down or towed buggies along the way - again, they are all junk. No one’s primary language is English, and you cannot understand the coffee/cigar stop person over the noise of all the buggies piling into the parking lot at once. The beach and cave are both nice but be prepared to be bombarded with people trying to force you into their shop and asking you for money. Regardless of your tour operator, all the buggies are the same. Do not expect high speeds - you travel about 1.5 miles from the drop off point in either direction during the 4-6 hour “adventure”.

    Bricks Boogie

Roberto was a wonderful guide. We really enjoyed every aspect of the tour… cave swim, cultural center, the beach etc. The equipment was well maintained and appeared well taken care of. We saw other ATV/Buggie groups out during our tour and I am very confirmed that our tour was the most professionally executed from beginning to end.

Buggy Punta Cana, Polaris, ATV, CanAm Boogies, Macao beach & Cave: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.

How much does Buggy Punta Cana, Polaris, ATV, CanAm Boogies, Macao beach & Cave cost?

    +

Prices start at $39 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Buggy Punta Cana, Polaris, ATV, CanAm Boogies, Macao beach & Cave take?

    +

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.

Is Buggy Punta Cana, Polaris, ATV, CanAm Boogies, Macao beach & Cave worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 108 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Buggy Punta Cana, Polaris, ATV, CanAm Boogies, Macao beach & Cave?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Buggy Punta Cana, Polaris, ATV, CanAm Boogies, Macao beach & Cave suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Buggy Punta Cana, Polaris, ATV, CanAm Boogies, Macao beach & Cave?

    +

Around 38 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Buggy Punta Cana, Polaris, ATV, CanAm Boogies, Macao beach & Cave start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?

    +

On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Buggy Excursion to Macau Beach and Natural Cave. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Punta Cana?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
