Highly recommended
We found Emotions Tour via google and after messaging Felix, he responded quickly and gave us various options. We agreed a tour - it was the best price and availability for us. His communication was excellent. On the day we arrived at the location he sent and was greeted warmly. His knowledge of the tour and the Algarve was interesting. There were enough stop offs for photos opportunities and stretching legs. The driving was fun and there was a mix of dirt tracks and public road. Be prepared to get dusty if you're driving the buggy. After, we were treated to the shop on his land to buy natural products produced by his wife. They were amazing. Bring cash for the shop. This is a family owned company - with Felix running the tours with his his son in tow, and his wife running the shop. We will definately be back for another tour, and have already recommended Felix to friends and family.

Fantastic Time!!
Felix provided an amazing buggie ride with a combination of kicking up dirt, riding the hills and countryside, to letting loose eith the buggies, to seeing a bit of the natural and city sites of the area. We all had a blast with the whole tour. Highly recommended.

Very very good!!
We booked a buggy tour with Felix on May 6th. He is a very nice man and gave a good explanation about the buggy and the history of Portugal. We set off in two buggies, and Felix drove in front in his own right. We went off-road through the mountains and crossed through water, which was obviously great fun. Along the way, Felix gave explanations and picked some branches, which he also explained at the first stop. Silves is a very nice town that we drove through, and of course, we drove the buggies on the BMW motocross track. All in all, a very fun and personal tour, with all credit going to Felix. A buggy tour is definitely recommended if you don't want to join a massive tour.

Forget the rest - book with the best!!! :-)
One comment to start with: Our trip with Felix took place in June 2025, almost a year ago. At that time I wasn't fit to write a review but now I am and FELIX REALLY EARNED ONE so I'll keep true to my promise. :-) Our case was a bit complicated. We were a group of 8, reaching from my 7 week old baby grandchild to my mother who was 83 years old. In the middle: our two adrenaline loving sons in their twenties. They had asked for a quad tour and I had spent weeks searching the internet, comparing different offers on all the usual commercial platforms. But somehow nothing really clicked. Then, in my research more off the beaten track, I stumbled upon Emotions tours - and noticed that they offer their "Dirt & Splash Tour" in two variations: a) with offroad buggys and b) by Jeep. Hey, that could be the perfect arrangement for us! Half of us could go in the buggys and the less ambitious members of our party might actually go along by Jeep! So I contacted Felix. He promptly answered and said yes, no problem. From then on, all contact was sooo smooth! Felix kindly and promptly answered all of my many questions that popped up, even recording a voice message to disperse the fears of my Mom that this tour was going to be harmful to the environment. So when we finally met in person the day of our scheduled tour I was not at all surprised to encounter a super friendly, thoughtful and knowledgable entrepreneur who did his very very best to make everyone comfortable. We took off on our tour - and boy, did we have fun! The powerful French offroad buggies that Felix uses are top notch quality and diligently serviced (although beware that they are L-O-U-D!!!). But what really warmed our hearts was Felix himself, stopping by the roadside to pick plants to show and explain to us and keeping the Jeep passengers really happy with all kinds of entertaining stories that he had to tell. In the climatized and suspended Jeep they were super comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed the offroad contryside experience on service dirt roads that only two other Algarve companies are allowed to use, whilst those of us roaring behind the Jeep in clouds of dust were half deaf but grinning and giggling. Our route started on minor countryside roads to get used to the vehicles, then took off through "dirt" to the barragem do Arade from where we progressed to the "splash" parts of the tour, and then back to Felix' headquarters via Silves. When we got back (and had pressure blown off most of the loose dirt :D) Felix was so nice to give us a quick tour of the Quinta that his wife Denise takes care of. We liked it so much that we actually came back a few day later to try and buy avocados, jam and orange juice from her. I summary, I really appreciate Felix' professionalism, his friendlyness, his love for and deep knowledge of the region where he chose to live more than half of his life ago (Felix is originally from Germany) and the really good communication with him. And I know what I am talking about! Because now, months after our trip, I put together a personal blog on our whole trip. And when I got to my description of the day that we spent with Felix, I realized (not surprisingly :D) that I had forgotten quite a few details. So I contacted him once more on WhatsApp - and he answered with a virtual smile. So, Felix, we want to thank you (and your sweet wife Denise) for preparing half of your life ;-) to make our excursion to the backcountry of the Algarve a super memorable and enjoyable one. Definitely one of the absolute highlights of our trip - and my Mom agrees on this point! You did your best - and it was really super good. :-) Cheers from Germany Sonja

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Albufeira.
How much does Buggy dirt and splash tour off/on road cost?

How long does Buggy dirt and splash tour off/on road take?
+
Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Albufeira is not rushed.
Is Buggy dirt and splash tour off/on road worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Albufeira, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Buggy dirt and splash tour off/on road?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Buggy dirt and splash tour off/on road suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Buggy dirt and splash tour off/on road?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Albufeira can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Albufeira and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Buggy dirt and splash tour off/on road start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Albufeira within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Albufeira?
+

The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Albufeira?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Albufeira?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
