About this experience
Ladies and gentlemen, start your engines! It's time to rip up the Dominican off-road and get a bit muddy. Join Macao Buggies, THE Buggy experts with the BEST off-road Route in Punta Cana. Our awesome Route has THREE stops, now let us set the scene Stop 1: Visit a sleepy country plantation for an intro on some of the Dominican Republic's most sought after produce: cacao, coffee, tobacco and Mamajuana (a Dominican aphrodisiac elixir) Yes, you can drink and drive here Stop 2: Descend into a picturesque cave replete with a subterranean river perfect for swimming. Jump in, cool off and wash off Stop 3: Take in Macao Beach. One of the last ‘resort free’ coastal stretches of Punta Cana, Macao is the idealistic Caribbean shore with amber sands, rows of coconut palms and azure waters. We'll even wash it for you. Although if you read this far, we're sure you don't mind getting a bit dirty

Buggies extreme en caroteen cava adventure half day
In a word, it was great, top service, also worth the money here. Wear old clothes and shoes because you get really dirty. make sure you have glasses to look at your eyes, face and hair, otherwise you can always wear a face mask (cloth) and glasses, a phone case so that it doesn't get dirty while driving or filming, take as little stuff as possible with you . cozy atmosphere.

Fun trip buggies were...
Fun trip buggies were slow and they make u stay in a line but that’s almost everywhere you go . They were still fun they made a few spots of mud for us to drive through . No water or snacks so bring your own . The cave is gorgeous recommend it !

Great excursion!
We had so much fun!! We bought the picture package at the end because they took so many great pictures, we couldn’t choose just one! Great time, BUT BE PREPARED TO GET DIRTY!!!

Not as advertised!
Do not book this excursion! They do not go to macao beach and they do not have GoPro cameras on the buggies as advertised. The beach is the best part of the trip and they don’t do it anymore.

Buggy Adventure!
Great transportation to the venue via whay looked like Safari tank trucks. Everyone at the venue was incredibly nice and prioritizing safety! Be advised to bring cellphone plastic pouches, protective eyewear, bandanas or face coverings beforehand because they do range $10-20 each at the venue itself. The buggy ride was beautiful riding through the farm side of Macao community and the splashing muddy parts were the highlight of the buggy rides! Bring shoes and clothes you do not need again as you will get MUDDY. The cave swimming was the best part they greet you with upbeat music and the sight is absolutely breathtaking. Good tour overall and worth the price!

Why this scores 53
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Buggies Extreme and Cenote Cave Adventure Half Day: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Punta Cana.
How much does Buggies Extreme and Cenote Cave Adventure Half Day cost?
+
Prices start at $46 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Punta Cana usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Buggies Extreme and Cenote Cave Adventure Half Day take?
+
Plan for about 4.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Punta Cana is not rushed.
Is Buggies Extreme and Cenote Cave Adventure Half Day worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 53 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.7/5 across 80 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Punta Cana, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Buggies Extreme and Cenote Cave Adventure Half Day?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Buggies Extreme and Cenote Cave Adventure Half Day suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Buggies Extreme and Cenote Cave Adventure Half Day?
+
Around 28 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Punta Cana can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Punta Cana and add a light layer if any part of the 4.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Buggies Extreme and Cenote Cave Adventure Half Day start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Punta Cana within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Punta Cana?
+
On Outty we rank every Punta Cana experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Punta Cana Zipline - 8 lines and a suspenseful hanging bridge, Punta Cana Buggy or ATV Tour with Macao Beach, Cave and Tastings, Off Road Buggy Adventure. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Punta Cana?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Punta Cana?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
