A new great in the immersive theatre scene

I am an immersive theatre fan and have travelled to the USA, China, Portugal and now Hungary to see shows. I've seen a lot of Punchdrunk's work which is a pioneer and a clear influence for Walk My World. It's safe to say I am reasonably demanding but the trip was worth it, and Walk My World was delightful. With all these shows they can lean in certain directions - is it more about the sets, is it more about the story, is it more about the physicality? Walk My World leans very much on the physicality - so it succeeds most on dance, acrobatics and physical performances (which makes sense as I think their background is circus). The space is huge, and rather cavernous - with some areas built into sets, but they also embrace the space - meaning you can be at a vantage point and see various performances all at once. The building itself is also interesting, just being able to explore such a fascinating industrial building. We did VIP tickets and I'd recommend this. You get two glasses of prosecco (it's not champagne as listed, a little naughty), a map, a little gift bag, priority entry, access to a private bar area, cloakroom and a really warm welcome. I mean really warm, I felt like I was part of the family! Such lovely staff at front of house. My only small criticism is the end scenes are too long. They're visually impressive, but it's hard to stand and just watch when you have had such agency for the rest of the show. I feel a more concise ending for future shows would be welcome - and one that utilises all the cast a bit better rather than mostly the men. It ends at the end of October 2026 - so be sure to pay a visit if you haven't already. If you've not done this sort of thing before don't worry. You can walk around and explore, you can follow an actor, or just grab a chair and watch the world goes by. The important thing is it's YOUR choice. And my top tip: if you are with your partner let go of their hand, explore different routes and share your experiences at the end. You'll never see it all by yourself, so it's fun to piece together the stories you discovered after.

Experience this at least once in your life!

Absolutely amazing show. Massive, very detailed set created in a warehouse, you become one with the show and 3 hours pass by in a flash. The organizers were extremely helpful, they managed the "hoard" of people well, we were around 280 people. Go watch it and be part of the experience until the 31st of October!!

Response from the operator: Dear _rmink2026, Thank you so much for this wonderful recommendation! We’re delighted that you enjoyed being part of the experience and that the immersive world drew you in so completely. And yes — there’s still time to experience it until October 31! Best wishes, the Walk My World team

Budapest: Walk My World Immersive Theatre & Evening Show: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Budapest.

How much does Budapest: Walk My World Immersive Theatre & Evening Show cost?

    +

Prices start at $63 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Budapest usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Budapest: Walk My World Immersive Theatre & Evening Show take?

    +

Plan for about 2.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Budapest is not rushed.

Is Budapest: Walk My World Immersive Theatre & Evening Show worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 69 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 18 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Budapest, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Budapest: Walk My World Immersive Theatre & Evening Show?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Budapest: Walk My World Immersive Theatre & Evening Show suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Budapest: Walk My World Immersive Theatre & Evening Show?

    +

Around 6 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Budapest can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Budapest and add a light layer if any part of the 2.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Budapest within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Budapest?

    +

On Outty we rank every Budapest experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Budapest Ruin Pub Crawl +6 Shots +VIP Entries +Drinking Games, Budapest City Landmarks Walking Tour in 2 Hours, Countryside Half-day Gastro-Wine Tour from Budapest Meal & pickup. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Budapest?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Budapest?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
