Poor experience
The night cruise cost £12 and takes 1hr. Even as cheap as it was this was not worth the money, you can see the city buildings all lit up at night walking along the side of the Danube or travelling on the public transport the only difference is you are on the water. A few reviews say they had a tour guide explaining what you can see, our tour didn’t all the staff wanted to do was to sell drinks. I was concerned as there was no safety instructions about life jackets or where they were, asked one of the staff and they didn’t know where they were and said nothing has happened on our trips. Two thirds of the views were of houses and commercial premises. Definitely don’t recommend this trip.
Response from the operator: Thank you for sharing your feedback. Please note that live commentary is not included on every cruise, and our crew are fully informed about the relevant safety procedures. We’re sorry the experience wasn’t what you expected and appreciate you taking the time to share your comments.

Try other alternatives
Not recommended, and not well organised. Better to look for other alternatives maybe they've got it together, at least the basics. They did not give us any audioguide. Also, they left us to wait in a big queue and only at the last moment they asked us to come forward to board and so we got the very last seats.. no instructions that we should have come forward were provided either online, at booking or at the location physically, there was just 1 queue. We were at the specified location on time 10 minutes in advance, as required on the booking details. The view was nice, it was not to blame... so 2 stars only for the view. Generous, really.

Budapest Audio Guide Cruise with Day, Sunset and Night Options: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Budapest.
How much does Budapest Audio Guide Cruise with Day, Sunset and Night Options cost?
+
Prices start at $14 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Budapest usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Budapest Audio Guide Cruise with Day, Sunset and Night Options take?
+
Plan for about 1 hour from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Budapest is not rushed.
Is Budapest Audio Guide Cruise with Day, Sunset and Night Options worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 54 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (3.6/5 across 323 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Budapest, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Budapest Audio Guide Cruise with Day, Sunset and Night Options?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Budapest Audio Guide Cruise with Day, Sunset and Night Options suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Budapest Audio Guide Cruise with Day, Sunset and Night Options?
+
Around 113 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Budapest can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Budapest and add a light layer if any part of the 1-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Budapest Audio Guide Cruise with Day, Sunset and Night Options start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Budapest within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Budapest?
+
On Outty we rank every Budapest experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Budapest Ruin Pub Crawl +6 Shots +VIP Entries +Drinking Games, Budapest City Landmarks Walking Tour in 2 Hours, Countryside Half-day Gastro-Wine Tour from Budapest Meal & pickup. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Budapest?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Budapest?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
