    About this experience

The former Bruckmann Brewery complex in Cincinnati is one of the most complete 19th brewery sites in the country. Brewing began at this location in 1856 and continued for nearly 100 years. Most major components of the brewery are still in existence including the brewhouse, malthouse, bottling building, stables, family home, power plant, and the underground lagering cellars! After brewing operations ceased in 1950, much of the site was repurposed for other businesses including the Fountain Winery in the 1970s and the headquarters and production facility of the Worthmore Food Products Company, who specialized in producing Cincinnati style chili and mock turtle soup. This site has not been open to tours before and the Brewing Heritage Trail has put a lot of work into repairing the site, so that we can bring guests inside several of the buildings and into the underground lagering cellars. Don't miss out on this unique experience offered only by our non-profit organization!

    Fun afternoon in the ‘Nati!

Great afternoon! Our tour guide, Lisa, did an amazing job giving us a tour of this brewery. It’s amazing how much there is to learn about Cincy despite living in the area my entire life!

Response from the operator: Fantastic! Thanks so much for taking a tour with us and I'll be sure to let Lisa know you had a great time!

    Great Tour Experience

We went on this tour with my 3 adult children. Lisa was our guide and she was very friendly & helpful. She did an excellent job sharing all the history. The tour was very interesting plus exciting that it included a beer. We loved getting the chance to go into the tunnels and see the original buildings. We are excited to explore more tours with the Brewing Heritage Trail group!

Response from the operator: Thanks so much for joining us on one of our newest tours! We're so glad to see you had a great time with Lisa and I'll be sure to let her know!

What a great way to learn the history of Cincinnati - a city built on beer!

What a great way to learn the history of Cincinnati - a city built on beer! We learned how the brewery grew over time and how it survived Prohibition. It is interesting to see the barrel vault ceilings where the lager was stored. Aaron was a great tour guide.

Response from the operator: Thanks for taking a tour with us and I'm so happy to see you had a great time on the tour with Aaron! I'll be sure to let him know and hopefully we'll see you again sometime soon!

Bruckmann Brewery History Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Cincinnati.

How much does Bruckmann Brewery History Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Cincinnati usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Bruckmann Brewery History Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 1.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Cincinnati is not rushed.

Is Bruckmann Brewery History Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Cincinnati, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Bruckmann Brewery History Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Bruckmann Brewery History Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 1.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Bruckmann Brewery History Tour?

    +

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Cincinnati can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Cincinnati and add a light layer if any part of the 1.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Bruckmann Brewery History Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Cincinnati within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Cincinnati?

    +

Cincinnati tours cover Over-the-Rhine architecture and food, brewery heritage and lagering tunnels, Ohio River sightseeing cruises and Underground Railroad Freedom Center visits. On Outty we rank every Cincinnati experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Hidden Brewery Caverns Tour in Cincinnati with Beer Tasting, Ultimate Queen City Underground Tour, Top 10 Sites + Bites of Cincinnati Tour with Riverside Food Tours. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Cincinnati?

    +

April to June and September to October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Cincinnati?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
