1. Brisbane

As we wind through the streets, you'll see the Brisbane City Botanic Gardens, Queensland's oldest gardens, before passing the transformative Queens Wharf Precinct with its luxury hotels and striking skydeck. We’ll drive by the Commissariat Store Museum, Brisbane’s oldest occupied building, and the Gothic Revival Cathedral of St Stephen. The journey continues past Customs House, distinguished by its copper dome, and Saint John’s Cathedral, home to the southern hemisphere’s only fully stone-vaulted ceiling. You'll see Anzac Square’s eternal flame, and the Albert Street Uniting Church alongside the majestic Brisbane City Hall. Glimpse the Old Windmill Observatory, Queensland’s oldest surviving structure, before passing the heritage-listed Spring Hill Baths and Brisbane Grammar Schools. Drive through Roma Street Parkland, a 16-hectare subtropical garden oasis in the city’s heart.

2. New Farm Park

   Explore Brisbane’s charismatic inner-city suburbs, starting in riverside New Farm, just 2km from the CBD. Once known as Binkinba to the Turrbal people, it blends historic charm with modern urban living, featuring New Farm Park’s stunning rose garden of 2,500 blooms. Adjacent stands the Brisbane Powerhouse, a transformed 1920s power station now a dynamic arts venue hosting over 1,250 performances annually. The tour continues through Teneriffe, where grand brick wool stores reflect Brisbane’s industrial past, now reimagined as prestigious residences. Experience James Street in Fortitude Valley, transformed from industry to a premier lifestyle precinct with high-end boutiques, acclaimed restaurants, and The Calile Hotel. Stop near Newstead House, Brisbane’s oldest surviving residence, and stroll to the river. The journey continues in vibrant Fortitude Valley, or “The Valley,” where history meets contemporary culture in a precinct known for its entertainment, music, and artistic spirit.

3. Kangaroo Point Cliffs Park

   Journey past Brisbane’s iconic landmarks, starting with the historic Story Bridge, opened in 1940 and designed by Dr. John Bradfield of Sydney Harbour Bridge fame. We'll explore Captain Burke Park, a prime Riverfire viewing spot with unparalleled bridge views. Next, the stunning Kangaroo Point Cliffs, formed by volcanic activity 230 million years ago and later quarried by convicts for Brisbane’s early buildings. Now a recreational hub, they offer breathtaking skyline and river vistas, especially at night. We’ll then visit the legendary Gabba (Brisbane Cricket Ground), a sporting cathedral since 1895. Its circular shape and white roof are integral to Brisbane’s landscape. Finally, we pass through Woolloongabba, returning via the South East Freeway and Captain Cook Bridge, with spectacular city and river views.

5. Mount Coot-Tha Summit Lookout

   We’ll pass the iconic Lang Park, now Suncorp Stadium. Once the North Brisbane Cemetery, it evolved into Queensland’s premier sporting venue, hosting major events for 52,500 fans. Driving past the legendary XXXX Brewery, a Queensland staple since 1878, we’ll continue through Brisbane’s charming inner-western suburbs—Milton, Paddington, Red Hill, and Bardon—showcasing distinctive Queenslander architecture. We’ll glimpse Government House, home to Queensland’s governors since 1910, before ascending Mount Coot-tha for breathtaking city views. At its base, we pass the Brisbane Botanic Gardens, spanning 56 hectares with over 200,000 plants, including the Tropical Display Dome and Japanese Garden. Our journey continues past heritage-listed Toowong Cemetery, resting place of many historical figures, and the historic Regatta Hotel, famed for its Victorian architecture and its role in Queensland’s feminist movement.

6. South Bank Parklands

   To reach our final stop, we cross the historic William Jolly Bridge, an Art Deco masterpiece from 1932, into the vibrant South Bank precinct. Here, you’ll find the Gallery of Modern Art and Queensland Art Gallery, housing over 17,000 artworks. Nearby, the State Library of Queensland and Queensland Museum & Science Centre offer insights into history, science, and culture. The tour continues through eclectic West End, known for its bohemian vibe, multicultural dining, and Davies Park Market. We’ll pause at Boundary and Vulture Streets, reflecting on the area’s complex colonial past, before passing the West Village precinct and its restored Peters Ice Cream Factory. Our journey leads past the Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre, a key 2032 Olympics venue, before ending at South Bank Parklands, a 17-hectare urban oasis featuring Streets Beach, the Arbour walkway, and the Nepalese Peace Pagoda. You'll have the chance to take photos at the iconic BRISBANE sign before the tour concludes.
