    A must do in Braşov

Fantastic experience. Andreea was an amazing guide and this was more than just a food tour. It was a food tour combined with a history walk. The times we got to walk and catch the bus were so informative and I learnt so much. The markets were lovely and it was the best cheese I’ve ever tasted. The lunch spot was fantastic (especially the wine and beer). Romanians have so much to be proud of and I would recommend everyone do this when in Braşov.

    wonderful family food tour

We had a wonderful family food tour in Brașov with Andrea and Michaela from Smart Tours! The tour was engaging, enriching, and perfectly tailored to our family’s needs. The explanations about the local markets, farmers, ingredients, and Romanian cuisine were fascinating and informative, and all the food we tasted along the way was delicious. Andrea and Michaela were absolutely lovely, warm, and attentive, making sure everyone in the family felt comfortable and enjoyed the experience. We highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to discover Brașov through its food, people, and local culture. A fantastic experience for the whole family!

    Brasov Food Tour

We spent a few days in Brasov and thought that one of the best ways to learn about the area and experience the culture was to take a local food tour. Our guide, Andreea was very knowledgeable, professional and friendly as she guided us through the local market showing us a variety of fruit and vegetable vendors as well as explaining some of the jarred delicacies. We sampled some of the fruit as well as a variety of cheeses. She then guided us, purchased our tickets and escorted us on an easy bus trip ride to Old Town. Andreea explained the history of the area and then we walked outside the city walls to a restaurant where we experienced true Romanian food. We learned about customs and traditions of typical Romanian families. She ordered a selection of dishes that we were able to try along with local spirits, beer and wine. The popular and iconic dessert, Papanasi was definitely one of the best treats that we sampled. This tour certainly allowed us to appreciate Romanian food culture!

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your review and we're very happy that you had an enjoyable experience while in Brasov!

Food and Sights - you will not be disappointed

As part of our visit to Brasov, we wanted to participate in experiencing the local sights that are not on the tourist map. And also to taste local food. This tour ticked the boxes 100%. Communication was excellent, before, during and after the tour. Our guide was first class - she shared information and answered all our questions We visited the Farmers Market (which we would never have found by ourselves). Then onto the Old Town to see some sights and taste some food in local restaurants. The food chosen for us was lovely. Thoroughly recommended. If in Brasov = do the tour
