About this experience
Bracciano is built on a hill above the clear water of Lake Bracciano, a volcanic lake where it is possible to canoe, scuba-dive, sail and much more (especially during hot summertime days, when a dip in the lake can be most refreshing). Lake Bracciano is actually an important hub for several sports, given the presence of the Bracciano-Martignano Natural Park, that puts a prime on silence and water quality by limiting the number of motorized watercraft. The Park, of course, comprises another lake, that of Martignano; also boasting volcanic origins, it is characterized by its small size and almost perfectly-circular form. The two lakes are really two peas in a pod: born from the same volcano (but from two different craters), each is highly-protected and welcomes a large number of tourists every year. --

Bracciano
Bracciano, a splendid Italian town situated halfway between Rome and Viterbo, unites the beauty and tranquility of its protected natural endowments with the fascinating, mysterious aspects of its beyond-millenary history. Bracciano is built on a hill above the clear water of Lake Bracciano, a volcanic lake where it is possible to canoe, scuba-dive, sail and much more (especially during hot summertime days, when a dip in the lake can be most refreshing). Trevignano Romano
I've heard many locals and travelers say that Trevignano Romano is the most adorable among the towns on Lake Bracciano. And I certainly agree. The fact that the city doesn't have a train station drives people to other towns and gives Trevignano Romano a secluded, protected feel. Another factor is that the city center is just a few steps from the shore of the lake, and that makes it easier to stay focused on the enchanting color of the water throughout the day and in all seasons. Because of the location, visitors to Trevignano Romano enjoy the longest sunsets on Lake Bracciano. --

Castello Odescalchi Di Bracciano
Numbered among the attractions and points of interest in Bracciano is the famous, Medieval Orsini-Odescalchi Castle, that has long been the location for weddings of international status. Still furnished as it was in its original heyday, the Castle houses a well-appointed museum in some of its rooms, a collections arts.

Anguillara Sabazia
About 3 kilometres (1.9 mi) east of the town lies the small, volcanic Lake Martignano, also popular with tourists. The two lakes and the surrounding area have been declared a Regional Park and are under a strict naturalistic control. A two-part episode of the American sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond was shot in the town.

Peaceful Getaway
This tour is good for those who prefer the quietness and peacefulness of a small town. If you prefer busier cities with lots to do then this tour isn’t for you. The three towns we visited all had lovely views of the lake and the castle was very interesting as well.

Fun and different
Mauricio was very charming and accommodating. Knew a lot of history and interesting facts for the area we visited. Gave us enough time to see everything that needed to be seen. Only small issue I have is that it was a little difficult to hear him when sitting in back of van because of a rattle making noise.
Response from the operator: Thank you very much!!

Wonderful day - this trip is a hidden gem!
We enjoyed this day immensely. Our guide, Giuseppe, did everything he could to make the day fun for us. He allowed us to craft the day just how we wanted it to be - we stopped for breakfast by the lake, then enjoyed the castle tour (not crowded and fun for kids especially; they have preserved the kitchen area and left enough items in there that my daughter was able to play house, which she loved, and my son was in awe of the armory). Then, Giuseppe showed us three beaches and let us pick which one we wanted to spend the afternoon at - we chose the uncrowded Monkey’s Beach, which had beautiful black volcanic sand, clear warm water perfect for playing and swimming, and a small stand where we easily rented an umbrella and chairs. This was a highlight of the trip, thank you Giuseppe!
Response from the operator: Thank you very much! We are very happy !

Know what surrounds us!
A nice country, neat clean, a beautiful view of the lake, a beautiful castle and above all an excellent coffee served kindly at the table. A nice walk along the lakeside to complete the visit. Recommended
Response from the operator: Grazie infinite !

Why this scores 50
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Bracciano lake Full day tour from Rome: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rome.
How much does Bracciano lake Full day tour from Rome cost?
+
Prices start at $432 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rome usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Bracciano lake Full day tour from Rome take?
+
Plan for about 6 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rome is not rushed.
Is Bracciano lake Full day tour from Rome worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 50 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.6/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Rome, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Bracciano lake Full day tour from Rome?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Bracciano lake Full day tour from Rome suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 6-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Bracciano lake Full day tour from Rome?
+
Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rome can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rome and add a light layer if any part of the 6-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Bracciano lake Full day tour from Rome start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rome within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Rome?
+
Rome runs on skip-the-line access. The Colosseum underground, the Vatican before opening, and the catacombs south of the walls all require a licensed operator, and the price gap between the good ones and the rest is smaller than you would expect. We rank by guide credentials, group size and how reliably the promised access actually materialises. On Outty we rank every Rome experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine & Fine Wine 5*, Pasta Making & Wine Tasting with Dinner in Frascati from Rome, Rome: Pizza & Tiramisu or Gelato Class with Flowing Fine Wine 5*. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Rome?
+
April, May, September and October. August is hot and half the city is shut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Rome?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
