Amazing adventure in the mountains witha a fab guide
My boyfriend and I were looking for a mountain adventure, and we found one! Conor wa a great guide, training us on the use of Ebikes and taking us on a private tour up Gold Hill and down the Switzerland Trail on a beautiful sunny day. With stops for gazing at the mountains and delicious home made pie, it was a great curated experience in the mountains which was exactly what we were hoping for. Conor was a terrific guide and we know you will have an awesome time should you choose this tour.

Afternoon exploration on dirt trails.
Amazing power to get you up the steep dirt roads of Boulder Canyon. Comfortable seats. The store was very helpful -- from setting up the bikes to suggesting the trails.
Response from the operator: Hey Bill thanks for the review! I'm glad you had a great ride on Poorman Road using your Pedego City Commuter, I'm glad you felt comfortable riding up Sunshine Canyon enough to get great views!

Mountains, dirt, and views...oh my!
We were in Colorado for a weekend and decided to add the Boulder Backroads tour to our agenda. It ended up being one of the best things we did that weekend. We met Conor at the shop and he gave us an overview of the e-bikes and made sure we were comfortable before loading everything into their comfortable van for the drive to the start of the ride. The real fun began when we jumped on the bikes. The dirt road headed straight up the mountain but the e-bike made the climbing easy. We meandered up the climb while Conor provided a historical overview of the area and called out other points of interest. We made a brief stop in the old mining town of Gold Hill for refueling before we headed over to the Switzerland trail for an incredibly enjoyable descent on more incredible dirt. I found myself taking tons of photos throughout the ride. On the way back to the shop after the ride, Conor even made a recommendation for lunch that was top notch. I'd highly recommend this tour for anyone who wants to see off-the-beaten-path locations and journey into the past on the wonderfully enjoyable dirt roads in the mountains above Boulder.
Response from the operator: Thanks so much Darren! I had such a blast with you two and hope to see you again for your trip next year! -Happy riding!

Wicked fun!
My partner and I were in town for a very short visit and we wanted to experience what it would be like to ride in CO. Having stumbled upon their website and this tour, and having never ridden e-bikes, we though we'd give it a go. It was SO fun! Conor was a fantastic guide. Went over the bikes with us, how they worked and if they fit right. Gave us a little time to get a feel for them before heading out on the tour. The route we went on was incredibly beautiful, and Conor was very knowledgable about the history of the area and all the riding that is available around Boulder. Being from the Northeast, it was so great to have a little help from the e-bike, while being at a higher elevation and riding up hill. I was able to hold a conversation, which never would have happened on a regular mt. bike. :) Also, not having a lot of mt. bike experience or the greatest bike handling skills, this route was no problem. Not only was it no problem, it was super fun. We took plenty of stops to take pictures and Conor came supplied with snacks and beverages. I really can't say enough how fantastic this adventure was. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Boulder.
How much does Boulder Backroads: E-Bike Dirt Road Tour cost?

How long does Boulder Backroads: E-Bike Dirt Road Tour take?
+

Is Boulder Backroads: E-Bike Dirt Road Tour worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 57 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 4 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Boulder, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Boulder Backroads: E-Bike Dirt Road Tour?
+

Is Boulder Backroads: E-Bike Dirt Road Tour suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Boulder Backroads: E-Bike Dirt Road Tour?
+
Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Boulder can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Boulder and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Boulder Backroads: E-Bike Dirt Road Tour start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Boulder within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Boulder?
+
Boulder pairs Flatirons hiking and climbing with Pearl Street food and brewery walks, e-bike tours along Boulder Creek and Rocky Mountain National Park day trips. On Outty we rank every Boulder experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Discover Rocky Mountain National Park-Small Group Tour & Picnic, Rocky Mountain National Park Guided Small Group Tour, Best of Boulder E-Bike Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Boulder?
+
May to October. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Boulder?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
