    Our guide Hendra

We actually did two full day tours with Hendra during our stay in Yogyakarta. First a tour of the city and its sites and second a tour of the surrounding area and the temples at Prambanan and Plaosan. He's a great guide and very good driver ! The latter very important in Yogyakarta. He took us to some great places for lunch in the city and outside. He's a great guy and would highly recommend him as a guide.

Response from the operator: Hello Ian, We are happy that you enjoying your trip in Yogyakarta with Hendra. We really appreciate your trust on us. We do hope to see you again in the future on another adventure. Best regards Auticatours

    Wonders enablers

Recommended by a friend we relied on Yovi for our holiday in Indonesia and would make this choice again a thousand times. From months before departure until our arrival, Yovi was always available to answer our doubts and comply with our requests. In Java we were accompanied by Hendra, in Bali by Yus, both extremely kind and nice: they made it possible to live incredible experiences in this wonderful land. Terima Khasi! 🙏🏼

Response from the operator: Grazie mille Andrea! Really grateful that you enjoy your trip with us. We understand that the schedule is very tight but to hear that you still enjoy it, we are very happy for you. Wishes the best for your next adventure and ciao!!!

We recently did an overland trip as a family including my parents and Autica tours were amazing from start to finish. Everything was super organised and they always went the extra mile to make our trip extra special and unique. Super professional but also fun and really informative. Just perfect! Thank you Hendra our driver in Java

Hendra is a lovely person, he is punctual, polite, serious, careful, adorable and good advice for your trips to East Java. We enjoyed being driven to visit Bromo and Ijen from Yojakarta before he dropped us off at the ferry to Bali. We highly recommend. Good value for money compared to the time you can lose in public transport.

Response from the operator: Bonjour, Thomas We are so grateful that you enjoy your trip. Eventhough we understand that the trip has a tight schedule, but we glad that its works well. We do always infom to our guest all the situation that could happen during the trip, in order for you and all our guest get the idea of what will be. We trully hope by doing that you could enjoy the trip more and not worried about anything. We are happy that Hendra could be helpful and accommodating. Since we always asks all of our staff and operator to prepare everything and assist our guest the best they can do. Lastly, we do hope seeing you again in the next trip! Bon Voyage Thomas and take care! Regards, Autica

BOROBUDUR, PRAMBANAN, TUMPAKSEWU, MT BROMO, MT IJEN By Car: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Yogyakarta.

How much does BOROBUDUR, PRAMBANAN, TUMPAKSEWU, MT BROMO, MT IJEN By Car cost?

    +

Prices start at $501 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Yogyakarta usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does BOROBUDUR, PRAMBANAN, TUMPAKSEWU, MT BROMO, MT IJEN By Car take?

    +

Plan for about 120 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Yogyakarta is not rushed.

Is BOROBUDUR, PRAMBANAN, TUMPAKSEWU, MT BROMO, MT IJEN By Car worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 72 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 8 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Yogyakarta, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule BOROBUDUR, PRAMBANAN, TUMPAKSEWU, MT BROMO, MT IJEN By Car?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is BOROBUDUR, PRAMBANAN, TUMPAKSEWU, MT BROMO, MT IJEN By Car suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 120-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book BOROBUDUR, PRAMBANAN, TUMPAKSEWU, MT BROMO, MT IJEN By Car?

    +

Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Yogyakarta can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Yogyakarta and add a light layer if any part of the 120-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does BOROBUDUR, PRAMBANAN, TUMPAKSEWU, MT BROMO, MT IJEN By Car start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Yogyakarta within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Yogyakarta?

    +

On Outty we rank every Yogyakarta experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Yogyakarta Private Car Hire with Driver, From Surabaya / Malang : Mt Bromo Sunrise - Ijen Blue Fire 2D1N, Borobudur Full Climb Up And Prambanan ALL INCLUSIVE PRIVATE Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Yogyakarta?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Yogyakarta?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
