The only way to see this gallery enter with a guide

this gallery is magnificent and with a guide that makes it more interesting. You could walk around on your own, but it’s nothing like somebody telling you about it and showing you some of the details that you would never even look at our guide was excellent. I highly recommend this experience

Response from the operator: Dear Harriet, Thank you so much for your wonderful review of the Borghese Gallery! We're delighted to hear that having a guide made such a difference in how you experienced the collection, bringing details to life that are so easy to miss when exploring alone. It means a great deal to know that your guide's expertise made the visit feel even more special, and we truly appreciate you recommending the experience to other travelers. Thank you again for your kind words, and we hope to welcome you back to Rome again soon!

Dimitri is awesome and your was amazing!

Hands down the best tour we did in Italy. Dimitri, the “tallest tour guide in Italy” (probably true), was absolutely incredible! He provided history, context, and all the helpful info. He knew the museum very well and effectively navigating crowds. Very funny and enthusiastic. We booked this last minute and I am so glad we did! Highly recommend, especially Dimitri. He made the whole experience.

Response from the operator: Dear Kristina, Thank you so much for your fantastic feedback! We're thrilled to hear that Dimitri made such an incredible impression, from his deep knowledge of the museum to his fun and enthusiastic energy throughout the tour. It means a lot to know that booking last minute turned into such a memorable experience, and we'll be delighted to share your kind words with him. Thank you again for your recommendation, Kristina, and we hope to welcome you back for another wonderful tour soon!

recent tour at the Borghese Gallery

hi, I normally don’t post reviews of anything but my wife and I had a wonderful time at the Borghese recently. I highly recommend this tour because it’s very educational and provides insights into the collection that you could not get any other way. Our tour guide Alicia was passionate about the history of the works of art and awakened us to the beauty of the art at the museum. On a side note, she recommended a great restaurant that we visited twice. Highly recommend this tour- Rob in Massapequa, NY USA

Response from the operator: Dear Rob, Thank you so much for taking the time to share such a wonderful review, especially knowing this isn't something you do often! We're delighted to hear that you and your wife had such an educational and memorable time at the Borghese Gallery. It's especially lovely to know that Alicia's passion for the art and its history left such an impression, and that her local recommendation turned into a favorite spot of your own. Thank you again for your kind words and recommendation, Rob, and we hope to welcome you both back to Rome again soon!

A Wonderful Afternoon in Roma

We had a most beautiful time. The art collection was breathtaking. Definitely rivals the Vatican, but on a much more personal scale. You are able to spend time in the gallery and gardens without the insane crowds. Highly recommend. Also, our tour guide was very knowledgeable and very personable. Mattea absolutely knew the collection, but more importantly he knew the history of the family. He was a great tour guide and made the experience even better.

Response from the operator: Dear Isabella, Thank you so much for sharing such a beautiful review! We’re delighted to hear that the Borghese Gallery was such a memorable part of your time in Rome and that you appreciated the opportunity to enjoy its extraordinary collection in a more intimate setting. We’re especially pleased to hear your wonderful comments about your guide. His deep knowledge not only of the artworks but also of the Borghese family and its fascinating history can truly add another dimension to the experience. It’s wonderful to know that his personality and storytelling made your visit even more special. We’ll be delighted to share your kind words with him. Thank you for your recommendation, Isabella, and we sincerely hope to welcome you again in the future!

Borghese Gallery Guided Tour with Priority Entrance: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Rome.

How much does Borghese Gallery Guided Tour with Priority Entrance cost?

+

Prices start at $47 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Rome usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Borghese Gallery Guided Tour with Priority Entrance take?

+

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Rome is not rushed.

Is Borghese Gallery Guided Tour with Priority Entrance worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 84 out of 100, which we label "Exceptional". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 258 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Rome, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Borghese Gallery Guided Tour with Priority Entrance?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Borghese Gallery Guided Tour with Priority Entrance suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Borghese Gallery Guided Tour with Priority Entrance?

+

Around 90 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Rome can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Rome and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Borghese Gallery Guided Tour with Priority Entrance start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Rome within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Rome?

+

Rome runs on skip-the-line access. The Colosseum underground, the Vatican before opening, and the catacombs south of the walls all require a licensed operator, and the price gap between the good ones and the rest is smaller than you would expect. We rank by guide credentials, group size and how reliably the promised access actually materialises. On Outty we rank every Rome experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Rome Pasta and Tiramisu Class: Ravioli, Fettuccine & Fine Wine 5*, Pasta Making & Wine Tasting with Dinner in Frascati from Rome, Rome: Pizza & Tiramisu or Gelato Class with Flowing Fine Wine 5*. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Rome?

+

April, May, September and October. August is hot and half the city is shut. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Rome?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
