So FUN! Wine and food tasting walk!

This was amazing! Amazing food and wine! I finally can really understand and experience what pairing differences are! My girlfriend and I can't do anything like this in Utah. We're here for my work. We have always wanted to do a wine tasting. The walk, the community/social scene, surroundings and people were top notch! Angela was a fantastic guide and great company to sit and talk with. Such a great lady and companion for the day! Owner and heart of Indulge Boise and we hope friend after such a nice time!

Response from the operator: Jason, thank you so much for this incredibly kind and thoughtful review! We’re thrilled to hear that you and your girlfriend had such an amazing experience on the Boise River Urban Wine Walk with Indulge Boise Food Tours. We love that the tour helped you better understand and experience wine and food pairings in a fun, approachable way. That is exactly what we hope this experience creates: great local wine, delicious food, beautiful surroundings, meaningful conversation, and a deeper connection to the Boise River and Garden City community. Angela will be so grateful for your generous words. She truly loves sharing Boise & the Treasure Valley with guests, and it means so much to know that her guidance, company, and passion for the experience helped make your day so memorable. Thank you for choosing Indulge Boise Food Tours during your time in Boise. We’re so glad this was such a special experience for you both, and we would be delighted to welcome you back as guests and friends the next time you want to enjoy a culinary experience!

    I Highly recommend Indulge Boise!

We had a great time with Angela! I booked the urban wine tour as a fun group outing with my Executive team. A couple of years ago my same group did the Capitol City Culinary tour with Indulge Boise, we had a great time then as well. The group size of 8 was perfect, since there were 8 of us it was a private tour. Even though I have lived in Boise for 36 years, I learned some new things about the area while on the tour. I love that the tour also introduced me to a couple newer wineries I had never tried, as well as some restaurants I had never tried. All of the stops were great, I would definitely revisit those areas in the future. I am already planning the next food tour with Indulge Boise, next up will be the Brunch Tour with my family.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your continued support of Indulge Boise, Curt! It means the world to us that you've now joined us on multiple tours and chose the Boise River Urban Wine Trail Tour as an outing for your Executive team. One of our favorite compliments is hearing from longtime Boise (and Treasure Valley) residents who discover something new about their own city, so we're thrilled that the experience introduced you to new wineries, restaurants, and stories along the way. That's exactly what we hope to create—opportunities to see Boise through a fresh lens, whether it's your first visit or you've called it home for decades. It was a pleasure hosting your group, and we couldn't agree more that eight guests made for a wonderful, intimate experience filled with great conversation and connection. Thank you for trusting us with your team-building experience once again. We're already looking forward to welcoming you and your family on the Brunch Tour. Until then, cheers to exploring Boise one delicious stop at a time!

    Nice day

Guide was pleasant and knowledgeable. Wine and food was good. Could have been better if wine and food were paired. It was a little odd that food and wine were separated. Eat at one place, wine at another, then snack at another place, then wine at another. Wine and food go good together. Really enjoyed meeting the wine folks at wine tasting places.

Response from the operator: Thank you for joining us on the Boise River Urban Wine Trail Tour and for taking the time to share your thoughtful feedback, Cathy. We're so glad you enjoyed meeting the winery owners and team members along the way—those personal interactions and stories are one of our favorite parts of the experience as well. We also appreciate your comments regarding the food and wine pairings. The separation of some of the food and wine stops is actually intentional. Because the tour includes multiple wine tastings over the course of the experience, we've designed the route to incorporate food-focused stops between wineries to help guests pace themselves, enjoy the walk along the Greenbelt, and experience a broader variety of Garden City's culinary and wine offerings. Our goal is to create a balanced experience that highlights both the urban wine scene and some of the area's fantastic local restaurants. That said, we completely understand your perspective, and feedback like yours helps us continue refining the tour experience. We're grateful you shared it. Thank you again for spending part of your day with us, and we hope to welcome you back for another Indulge Boise adventure in the future!

Garden City surprised me! In a good way

Angela is a great guide with much local knowledge of the food and cultural scene. She made everyone feel welcome and at ease. The food was mostly good and the wine was surprisingly good at times. I recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys good food and wine.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your thoughtful review, Art! We are so glad to hear you enjoyed the Boise River Wine Walk and that the experience felt welcoming and relaxed — that’s exactly the kind of atmosphere we aim to create. It is always a joy to guide groups while sharing a taste of Garden City's growing food and wine scene. We’re thrilled you found some surprising favorites and appreciate your recommendation. Cheers to more delicious adventures ahead!

Boise River Urban Wine Walk: Sip & Stroll Through Urban Wineries: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Boise.

How much does Boise River Urban Wine Walk: Sip & Stroll Through Urban Wineries cost?

    +

Prices start at $189 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Boise usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Boise River Urban Wine Walk: Sip & Stroll Through Urban Wineries take?

    +

Plan for about 3.5 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Boise is not rushed.

Is Boise River Urban Wine Walk: Sip & Stroll Through Urban Wineries worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 56 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 5 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Boise, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Boise River Urban Wine Walk: Sip & Stroll Through Urban Wineries?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Boise River Urban Wine Walk: Sip & Stroll Through Urban Wineries suitable for kids and families?

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3.5-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Boise River Urban Wine Walk: Sip & Stroll Through Urban Wineries?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Boise can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Boise and add a light layer if any part of the 3.5-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Boise?

    +

Boise, ID packs its best experiences into walkable neighborhoods, local food, and day trips nearby. Outty ranks every bookable tour and activity in Boise by rating quality, review depth, booking demand and value, so you can see the standouts before you book. On Outty we rank every Boise experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include 1/2 Day Whitewater Rafting Trip near Boise, ID, Culinary and Cultural Tour of Boise, A Macabre History of Boise Walking Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Boise?

    +

Spring and fall bring the best weather and lighter crowds in Boise, while summer has the widest choice of tours and evening activities. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Boise?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
