VIP through Bogota to all the highlights
We had about a 10-hour layover and really wanted to see the Salt Cathedral and the other attraction in Bogota. With the tour perfectly put together for this, we were able to enjoy all the sights at our own pace. Bogota is unfortunately very congested, but we visited the planned sights with sufficient time for sightseeing. It was also perfect that we did not have to pay any entrance fees and a local guide was available to us at the Salt Cathedral. After about 10 hours, we were dropped off back at the airport. During the drives, we were able to rest a bit, so we arrived at the respective highlights well-rested. During the trip, there were sufficient opportunities to learn something about the city, the country, and its people. It was really worth it! That was the right choice!

Great experience high my recommended.
I highly recommend this one day trip with Luis Felipe, if you have limited time. Luis Felipe is very knowledgeable of his country history and share it with enthusiasm. The trip included the old town, Monserrate, Main features of museums and library. Flexible for breaks. Then ended with SALT mine Cathedral visit, and Andrés de CR restaurant. He is very friendly and helpful. Luis and his brother went the extra mile by finding distilled water for my husband CPAP machine, which regular pharmacies did not carried. We will come back and certainly we will hire Luis Felipe.

Discovering Bogotá with the Best: An Unforgettable Trip with Don Luis and his Brother
We were fortunate to be guided by Don Luis on our first visit to Bogotá, and we couldn't be more grateful. From the beginning, Don Luis proved to be more than a guide; He was an exceptional host, making sure every moment was special. He took us to emblematic places such as Montserrate and Zipaquirá, where we not only saw the beauty of these sites, but also learned about their rich history thanks to his detailed explanations. The museum tours were equally impressive, with Don Luis providing fascinating contexts that enriched our experience. Additionally, the talks during the juices about his love for Colombia and Bogotá allowed us to see the city through the eyes of someone who truly values and understands it. We cannot forget the excellent service provided by Don Luis's brother, who, as a driver, was essential for our comfortable mobility around the city. Traveling with my girlfriend was a wonderful experience, largely thanks to Don Luis and his brother, who treated us with the greatest respect and kindness. We learned enormously about Colombia, and without a doubt, Don Luis has been the best tour guide we have ever met. Without thinking about it, we would repeat this tour again. Thank you, Don Luis and your brother, for making our trip an unforgettable experience!
Response from the operator: ¡Estimado Pierre! 🇨🇴🇨🇷🇨🇴🇨🇷🇨🇴🇨🇷

Bogota City Tour & Salt Cathedral: Monserrate, Candelaria 12hr: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bogotá.
How much does Bogota City Tour & Salt Cathedral: Monserrate, Candelaria 12hr cost?
+
Prices start at $64 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bogotá usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Bogota City Tour & Salt Cathedral: Monserrate, Candelaria 12hr take?
+
Plan for about 11 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bogotá is not rushed.
Is Bogota City Tour & Salt Cathedral: Monserrate, Candelaria 12hr worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.9/5 across 9 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bogotá, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Bogota City Tour & Salt Cathedral: Monserrate, Candelaria 12hr?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Bogota City Tour & Salt Cathedral: Monserrate, Candelaria 12hr suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 11-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Bogota City Tour & Salt Cathedral: Monserrate, Candelaria 12hr?
+
Around 3 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bogotá can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bogotá and add a light layer if any part of the 11-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Bogota City Tour & Salt Cathedral: Monserrate, Candelaria 12hr start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bogotá within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Bogotá?
+
On Outty we rank every Bogotá experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Private City Tour Bogota + Monserrate, Gold, Botero and Candelaria., Free Graffiti Walking Tour Every Day in Bogota, Viejo Bogota Food Tour with 12+ Tastings. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Bogotá?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Bogotá?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
