Fabulous little tour, for Botero fans and those who want to learn about him - makes art accessible!

This is a fabulous tour featuring what Botero (the artist) brought to Colombia, both in terms of his own creations (and one can nicely see the evolution therein - up to, but not limited to, the more voluminous pictures and figurines that the world knows him for ) and in terms of what he bought in France and elsewhere to make it available to the general public (extraordinary Cezanne, Chagal, Miro, Picasso, etc etc). Jose - our guide - brings all this to life with his many stories about Botero himself, his background, his relationships with his family, artists and art critics, as well as the Colombian people and nature. This is a very lively tour, "off the beaten path", that takes place in the Botero museum itself. Tip: Book the 9 am option, the museum is practically empty then and you can enjoy the space even more!

    GOOD GUIDE, great art collection!

Excellent tour of the Botero Museum I loved the tour. The guide has an attitude and a personality that make the tour very enjoyable, and the way he approaches each topic is clear and approachable. Botero's evolution as an artist is very well understood, from his beginnings to his very characteristic style. In addition, the museum's international collection is very worthwhile; don't leave without taking a look at it. Totally recommended!

Guided tour of the Botero Museum.

The tour of the Botero Museum with Colombia’s Wonders seemed very complete to me, with clear and relevant information and always maintaining a good pace. I recommend this tour to those who do not simply want to see paintings, but also learn about the history of this great artist and this important museum in Bogotá.

    Fantastic experience with Luis

We had the pleasure of visiting the Botero Museum in Bogotá accompanied by Luis and we could not have asked for a better guide. He was very knowledgeable, helpful, and above all passionate: he told us the history of the works and of Botero in a simple, interesting, and engaging way, making us appreciate every detail even more. Luis did not just limit himself to giving us information, but he made us experience the museum, telling us curiosities and anecdotes that we probably would never have discovered on our own. A truly kind, professional person who is passionate about their work. Highly recommended to anyone who wants to discover Bogotá through the eyes of a local guide! Thank you Luis for this beautiful experience! 🇨🇴🎨

Bogota Botero Museum Guided Tour: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Bogotá.

How much does Bogota Botero Museum Guided Tour cost?

    +

Prices start at $24 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Bogotá usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Bogota Botero Museum Guided Tour take?

    +

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Bogotá is not rushed.

Is Bogota Botero Museum Guided Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 68 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 6 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Bogotá, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Bogota Botero Museum Guided Tour?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Bogota Botero Museum Guided Tour suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 2-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Bogota Botero Museum Guided Tour?

    +

Around 2 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Bogotá can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Bogotá and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Bogota Botero Museum Guided Tour start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Bogotá within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Bogotá?

    +

On Outty we rank every Bogotá experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Free Graffiti Walking Tour Every Day in Bogota, Bogota Zipaquira Salt Cathedral Private Tour + Lunch, Private City Tour Bogota + Monserrate, Gold, Botero and Candelaria.. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Bogotá?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Bogotá?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
