The actual boat cruise...

The actual boat cruise and staff were amazing. Visitor did a horrible job and had us completely confused. The tickets emailed to me on the day of purchase gave a different meeting point than the next days excursion. Two different ports. When we realized the tickets were different the next day we grabbed a cab and followed the address given. Our tickets were for boat dock 1533 but Viator had us going to 153 as printed on the second day directions so we almost missed the boat. Also no one answered when I called the contact number Viator provided. I will never use Viator again and will discourage anyone I know to not use them. Being in a foreign country and being given so much incorrect information almost made our plans not enjoyable. The staff on the boat made up for it. Shame on you! Check your facts

Hope you get captain Mike!

The catamaran is amazing and the trip outside of Barcelona to cruise and dip in the water was great! Had no issues with tapas as some others had in past reviews. Didn’t expect much as far as food goes but there was a decent tapas plate for each party. Lots of drinks on board. Some are included, and there are more for extra cost which was very reasonable. The one negative I would say is the communication of the booking company with finding the meeting location. There were mixed messaging that caused us to almost miss our charter. The address of the meet up had a slip with a different boat in that slip. We were early well in advance but there’s no one checking in like some of the other tents in the location. The other locals in that area were not helpful at all and actually sent us to catch a taxi to a different port down the way, then we booked it back to the original location, what a mess. We realized we actually walked past the boat the first time. They did not leave and waited for us about 10 minutes late. We book a catamaran on every trip. Mike was absolutely our best captain ever! Vanessa took care of the interior well. Their vibe made our day and lowered our stresses of finding the meet spot. Both very personal and authentic. I’d suggest the owner to place some sort of sign at the boat prior to time of meet up. Even a little dry-erase sign would go a long way.

Cruise scam Barcelona

180€ for 4 sodas , 1 ONLY potato tapas, 1 2 hour tour of catamarans in the port only because of the wind!! Tourist trap, to flee, I do not recommend!

Response from the operator: Dear customer, You posted your review on the wrong company page, seeeing the photos, you did the trip with the company THIS IS MED and not with us. We don't provide potato chips as tapas, we provide local dry ham, fuet, local cheese and toasts. Also what surprises us is that in cases of bad weather such as rain or strong wind, we always cancel the tour and offer a full refund. Again, You are confusing us with a different company! With over 300 verified reviews and an average of 4.8/5 on other platforms, we are confident in the quality of what we provide. That said, we are always happy to find a solution if there was any misunderstanding. Please contact us at info@velarischarter. And we kindly ask you to remove the review and post it on the correct company profile. Kind regards, Lorenz

Boat Cruise Sailing, swim, Wine and a tapa: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Barcelona.

How much does Boat Cruise Sailing, swim, Wine and a tapa cost?

+

Prices start at $45 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Barcelona usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Boat Cruise Sailing, swim, Wine and a tapa take?

+

Plan for about 2 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Barcelona is not rushed.

Is Boat Cruise Sailing, swim, Wine and a tapa worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 60 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 13 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable most popular in Barcelona, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Boat Cruise Sailing, swim, Wine and a tapa?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Boat Cruise Sailing, swim, Wine and a tapa suitable for kids and families?

+

The operator sets a minimum age of 12. Older children generally do well here, and families should factor in the 2-hour running time when deciding.

How far in advance should I book Boat Cruise Sailing, swim, Wine and a tapa?

+

Around 5 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Barcelona can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Barcelona and add a light layer if any part of the 2-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Boat Cruise Sailing, swim, Wine and a tapa start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Barcelona within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Barcelona?

+

Barcelona's Gaudí sites are capacity-limited and the official timed tickets go first, so most of the market is resellers with a guide attached. We weight those heavily on whether the guide is an architecture specialist. Beyond Gaudí, the tapas crawls in Gràcia and the Montserrat day trips carry the highest rankings in the city. On Outty we rank every Barcelona experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Gràcia Tapas and Vermouth Crawl, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel & Cliff Jump from Barcelona, Costa Brava Tour: Kayak, Snorkel, Cliff Jump & lunch Small Group. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Barcelona?

+

May, June, September and October. Sagrada Família light is best mid-morning. Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Barcelona?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
