    Ben there done that

Domenico our guide was friendly and informative. There was some confusion in the beginning and lots of down time sitting around. We did not get to see the Blue Grotto experience, rather a bout tour around the island which was nice. We found Capri to be crowded and very expensive. Been there done it! Save yourself some time and money and just take the ferry on your own and walk around .

    The blue grotto part was...

The blue grotto part was cancelled due to rough sea conditions which we anticipated and understand. Our disappointment came from the start of the trip. We started on Capri with a meeting time of 10:30. Didn’t see anyone there and started communicating through the app about where to meet. They provided the cell of the guide. Called and no answer. Just as we were ready to call it off, our guide arrived as he just got off the ferry with others from Naples. He then proceeded to say it was time for a bathroom break and to get a drink if you wanted. He wanted everyone back by 11:00. We did not get on the bus to Anacapri until 11:18. Wish I had been told to meet at 11:00 or 11:15 instead of 10:30, such a huge waste of time as we arrived at 10:15 to be sure we were on time. The only reason for the 2 star is because of such a great local guide. If you’re staying in Capri, I definitely do not recommend this excursion. Part of the trip was waking around Capri for an hour, which if you’re staying in Capri you’ve already done. Since the blue grotto was closed, our guide had us go on the boat tour to see the other attractions which was the best part of the trip.

Response from the operator: Dear Chester, Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we are sorry to hear that your experience did not fully meet your expectations. Capri is a beautiful destination, but it can also be quite challenging to manage, especially on days when many cruise passengers arrive and the island becomes extremely crowded. We would like to clarify that our guide arrived at the port of Capri at 10:30, which was the scheduled meeting time. Before that, it was not possible to answer phone calls because the mobile signal is not available during the ferry crossing. Once disembarked, the guide gave about 20 minutes of free time to the group, not due to disorganization, but because on very busy days the local bus company assigns vehicles only after a mandatory waiting period. We understand that this may have caused some frustration and we sincerely apologize. Unfortunately, the closure of the Blue Grotto due to rough sea conditions is beyond our control, but we always try to offer valid alternatives, such as the boat tour, which – we are glad to hear – was the highlight of your day. Your comments will help us improve communication about these logistical challenges and make the experience as smooth as possible for future guests. Kind regards ENJOY CAPRI TOUR

    Greatest Experience of my life

Capri is gorgeous! Our tour guide Fabrizio was fantastic and showed us all the historical sites and beautiful landscape of capri. The blue grotto was beyond words. What an amazing experience I recommend you do it if you are in the area.

Didn’t see the Blue grotto but still happy

I booked the Blue Grotto experience in Capri leaving from Naples. The meeting site was at Bar Picnic 8:30am we were there a little earlier but by 8:30 there was no sign of a tour group and the later it got I actually started asking random tour guides if they were our tour group. Finally Fabrizio showed up with the rest of the tour group so that was a relief but I wish there was better communication instead of making me afraid I missed our tour or got the meeting spot wrong. But once all that was settled Fabrizio was in high gear and took care of all of us with no problem. He made sure we had clear instructions on where to sit in the ferry so we can get off the quickest and get a bus, there were so many people due to cruise ships coming in. We didn’t wait long at all for a bus that took us to Anacapri. He gave us the history and current events of the island of Capri which was very nice. We did not get a chance to see the Blue Grotto due to the long waiting time. We took a boat along the coast of Capri around the island, it was just so beautiful and the best way to end the day. I really can’t say it was better than blue grotto but it was well worth the money and longer than the 5-10 minute blue grotto experience. Overall the experience was great and my 7 year old had a blast from the jet ferry to the chairlift to the boat ride it was all a good time.

    Exceptional Tour Guides

We were booked with enjoycapritoirs and had the pleasure of being shown beautiful Capri by Fabriezo & Dominico. They were exceptional in every way, managing several large groups, their knowledge, speaking multiple languages & their charm! Unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate to allow us in the blue grotto - but we were instead able to go into several other and better grottos without long waits or needing to transfer to a smaller boat to get inside (as with the blue grotto). Dominico knew how disappointed I was about the blue grotto being closed but assured me I would have if not the same - but better - experience in one of the grottos we WERE able to get into that day. He did not disappoint!! Moral of the review is, don’t be so hung up on the blue grotto - there’s others that are as beautiful and more comfortable & convenient to see!

Blue Grotto Experience and Walking: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Naples.

How much does Blue Grotto Experience and Walking cost?

    +

Prices start at $90 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Naples usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Blue Grotto Experience and Walking take?

    +

Plan for about 8 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Naples is not rushed.

Is Blue Grotto Experience and Walking worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 63 out of 100, which we label "Solid Choice". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.1/5 across 75 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Naples, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Blue Grotto Experience and Walking?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Blue Grotto Experience and Walking suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 8-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Blue Grotto Experience and Walking?

    +

Around 26 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Naples can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Naples and add a light layer if any part of the 8-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Blue Grotto Experience and Walking start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Naples within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Naples?

    +

On Outty we rank every Naples experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Full Day Private Amalfi Coast Tour from Sorrento/Naples/Salerno, Caserta Royal Palace & Gardens Small Group Tour with Shuttle, Naples Pizza and Tiramisu Cooking Class. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Naples?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Naples?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
