What you'll see and do

  1. The first stop takes us to the island of Koločep. This charming and enchanting destination promises to leave a lasting impression on all who visit. 2. Sunj Beach

After exploring the caves, it’s time to unwind at one of the most beautiful beaches in the area – Šunj Beach on Lopud Island. This spacious sandy beach with shallow, calm waters is perfect for families with kids, as well as anyone looking to relax and soak up the sun. The bay is naturally sheltered, making the sea calm and ideal for swimming. Along the beach, you’ll find a few cozy cocktail bars serving delicious food, and one of them even has hammocks hanging between the trees – the ultimate chill-out spot to sip a drink, take a nap, or simply enjoy the peaceful island atmosphere. If you love laid-back vibes, warm sun, and crystal-clear sea, Šunj Beach is the place to be. And of course, your friendly local skipper will be happy to share more insider tips and help tailor the experience to your wishes.

  3. One of such dreamy, Arcadian localities is Brsečine, a peaceful hamlet by the sea, only 17km away from Dubrovnik. The area around the hamlet is rich in fragrant and salubrious mediterranean vegetation; lemons and figs, lavender and jujube, basil, bougainvillea, laurel and myrtle, all grace the nearby slopes, thanks to the benevolent, balmy mediterranean climate, so it is not surprising that in history it was a favorite resort of the local nobility, with two preserved summer houses still in place. We will make a stop here and enjoy this beautiful beach to swim.

Unbeatable beaches and great time overall

Slavko was a great captain who made the trip feel tailored for us. Gorgeous setting, secluded beaches, and cute little villages. Highly recommend.

Response from the operator: We’re so happy to hear you had a great experience. Many thanks, and we look forward to welcoming you onboard again.

BEST BOAT TRIP IN DUBROVNIK!! MUST DO

If there is one thing you do in Dubrovnik do this! Nicholas our skipper was brilliant - the water in Dubrovnik is simply the best I've ever seen ... and in the Blue Cave that Nicholas took us too it was incredible ... Nicholas knew all the best places to stop - we went to some inlets too with hidden Madonna's and an amazing lunch - it was simply the best thing that we did in Croatia. Nicholas fed us with drinks whilst being unobtrusive and played music. Going from the Old Port you leave into the sea past cruise liners, superyachts and the impressive bridge. Our boat had lots of space, a sun cover and loads of cushions, drinks and was speedy and stable.

Response from the operator: So glad to hear it was the highlight of your trip to Croatia! Thank you for the fantastic review. We look forward to welcoming you aboard again for more adventures!

Blue Caves & Crystal Waters: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Dubrovnik.

How much does Blue Caves & Crystal Waters cost?

+

Prices start at $239 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Dubrovnik usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Blue Caves & Crystal Waters take?

+

Plan for about 4 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Dubrovnik is not rushed.

Is Blue Caves & Crystal Waters worth it?

+

It holds an Outty Ranking of 59 out of 100, which we label "Worth a Look". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 2 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Dubrovnik, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Blue Caves & Crystal Waters?

+

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Blue Caves & Crystal Waters suitable for kids and families?

+

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 4-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Blue Caves & Crystal Waters?

+

Around 1 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Dubrovnik can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

+

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Dubrovnik and add a light layer if any part of the 4-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Blue Caves & Crystal Waters start and how do I get there?

+

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Dubrovnik within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Dubrovnik?

+

On Outty we rank every Dubrovnik experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Dubrovnik: Game of Thrones Walking Tour, Panorama Zipline Experience in Dubrovnik, Dubrovnik: 7 Caves & Blue Cave Speedboat Tour (4h). The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Dubrovnik?

+

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Dubrovnik?

+

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

+

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
