A perfect hot summer day is best to spend relaxing and exploring hidden beauties that Adriatic coast and islands have to offer. Guided by this idea,we have created such a trip.We leave from waterfront of Riva in Split toward Blue cave. The cave is special for its underwater opening through which penetrate sunrays. These rays, by reflecting from the white backround, illuminate the cave with a beautiful blue light and objects in the water with a silver one.Follows a visit to Komiža town on island Vis.Free time is left for coffee and sightseeing. A place that will surely impress you is the beautiful island Budikovac, our next destination. It is known as a place for a remarkable break due to its shallow bay, also called Blue lagoon. This is followed by a visit to Hvar where you will have 1 h free time for coffee and sightseeing. We are back in Split at 18:00

    Fun day on the water.

Loved the town of Vis. Our guide Annetta and Nino.were wonderful especially Annetta. The boat was beautiful and it was very comfortable. We were lucky to have nice weather but unfortunately there was too much wind to go to the blue cave but they did take us to the green cave as an alternative. I would highly recommend this tour. Brilliantly paced couple-friendly trip with excellent crew

We had a fantastic time on this tour - I had been apprehensive about whether a 10-hour trip might be too long, but it flew by! We left at 7:30am and were back by about 5:30pm, having stuck to the planned itinerary - we even made a bonus stop on the way home as our wait time for the Blue Cave was mercifully brief compared to the usual long wait times! There are long stints riding the waves between the islands (the longest was the initial 2 hour one, a nice way to creak into action ofter an early start) during which our skipper played some music while we enjoyed the views. I'm sure he would have taken requests had anyone wanted specific tunes, but we enjoyed his dance-y playlist). The waves can be a little choppy - which made for a VERY fun and splashy ride on the way home! - but if you have any e.g. back injuries be mindful of the bumpy ride (common sense, I hope!) I had felt reassured to book a boat with a toilet onboard, though we were discouraged from using it since you're not able to do so unless a certain distance from land and that means attempting it in the choppy open sea! But it didn't matter - there were nice, free loos at the Blue Caves and in plenty of bars and restaurants (or purpose built loos for 1 EUR) on all of the subsequent island stops. The only exception was Vis, as we swam off the boat rather than going on land. The crew were not the type that would push for 'forced fun' or group activities - we were a boat of 6 couples and while we all got on well it was still very much a couple-y day for us all. Some people brought some beers along and there's a very small fridge where you could keep them cool, but it's not a 'boozy' boat trip. Some brief, helpful information was given as we arrived at each stop about what each area is known for etc - if you are looking for a very informative 'tour' type trip this may not be the one, but likewise the team were very approachable and certainly would have answered any questions. There were some snorkel masks and small bottles of refrigerated water, plus plenty of shade, so we had everything we needed. Thank you to our skippers for indulging our requests for photos, and for leading a brilliant day!

Is Blue Cave, Komiža, Stiniva Bay, Budikovac, Hvar Split Island Boat Tour worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 74 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 53 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Split, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Is Blue Cave, Komiža, Stiniva Bay, Budikovac, Hvar Split Island Boat Tour suitable for kids and families?

How far in advance should I book Blue Cave, Komiža, Stiniva Bay, Budikovac, Hvar Split Island Boat Tour?

    +

Around 19 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Split can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Split and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

What are the best things to do in Split?

    +

On Outty we rank every Split experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Split Small-Group Walking Tour with a Magister of History, Split Walking Tour with Professor of History, From Split: Krka Waterfalls, Food & Wine Tasting Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Split?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Split?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
