Highly Recommend Blue Caves Tour - Gariful Yacht Charter
We had a wonderful day on the waters of Croatia! The Blue Caves were beautiful but after that we were able to visit many islands and experience other areas of Croatia. Our Captain Ivan was the absolute best! Knows the water like the back of his hand! Kudos to Ivan who was on his own navigating the boat as well as all 8 of us! It’s a great way to spend a day in Croatia.

Exceptional Tour
Our Captain Ivan was outstanding. My friends and I had one of the best days, he took very good care of our entire group. Wish I could do it all again!!

Amazing day
Perfect trip , very nice crew . I loved the stops and explanation. The only complain is not about them But the rest of the guests took almost a hour to be at meet point delaying a bit. Boat very new and nice

Misleading company
I was sold this trip and booked it on the basis we would go to 6 islands. I double checked this and then went on the trip to be told this particular boat company didn’t visit all 6 islands. Be wary when booking with this company.

Over priced with no Blue Cave tour!
The highlight of this trip for us was going to THE BLUE CAVE! Our tour started ten minutes late because the receptionist and tour guide were discussing something. Our first stop was suppose to be to the blue cave but we detoured to small fishing village. After walking through the streets for 15-20 minutes we realized there was nothing to do here except to have coffee and breakfast around the marina area. This was an hour and 15 minute stop. Once back on the boat we were informed that the blue cave was closed but would probably reopen in an hour so we made another stop at a swimming area where the only way to get to the beach was to swim. After another hour once again we were told the blue cave was still closed due to weather and that the special boats couldn’t fit inside so we would go to Blue lagoon for another swim. We were there for approximately 1.5 hours. Once back on boat we were told the blue cave was still closed and we would be continuing on to Hvar for lunch and exploring on our own. We were there for about 2.5 hours. When we got back on boat again we were told that blue cave was still closed and that even if it did reopen we were too far away from it to go back so they opted to take us to another small fishing village where once again there was literally nothing to do or see there. This was a 30 minute stop. The young boat driver and the tour guide (even though there was no touring) were very nice and tried to make up for blue cave being closed. Overall we felt like they knew before the tour started that the blue cave was closed but didn’t give us the option to cancel or reschedule and that is why I’m giving this rating a 3 star. It is not worth $105.00/per person. If you go on this tour ask before tour starts if blue cave is open or go to actual blue cave website and check!

Why this scores 71
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Blue Cave & Island Escape: A Unique 6-Island Adventure from Split: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Split.
How much does Blue Cave & Island Escape: A Unique 6-Island Adventure from Split cost?
+
Prices start at $147 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Split usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Blue Cave & Island Escape: A Unique 6-Island Adventure from Split take?
+
Plan for about 10 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Split is not rushed.
Is Blue Cave & Island Escape: A Unique 6-Island Adventure from Split worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 71 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.5/5 across 417 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Split, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Blue Cave & Island Escape: A Unique 6-Island Adventure from Split?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Blue Cave & Island Escape: A Unique 6-Island Adventure from Split suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 10-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Blue Cave & Island Escape: A Unique 6-Island Adventure from Split?
+
Around 146 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Split can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Split and add a light layer if any part of the 10-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Blue Cave & Island Escape: A Unique 6-Island Adventure from Split start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Split within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Split?
+
On Outty we rank every Split experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Split Small-Group Walking Tour with a Magister of History, Split Walking Tour with Professor of History, From Split: Krka Waterfalls, Food & Wine Tasting Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Split?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Split?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
