Welcome to our exciting bike tour through the history, culture, and passions of Buenos Aires. We begin by riding through the cobblestone streets of the city’s oldest neighborhoods, where every corner tells a story — from colonial times to the arrival of European immigrants who shaped Argentina’s identity. We then dive into two of Argentina’s greatest passions: tango and football. In San Telmo, you’ll discover the roots of tango, and in La Boca, we explore the colorful Caminito and its strong immigrant heritage. The tour continues to Puerto Madero, where former docks have been transformed into a modern district blending industrial history with contemporary architecture. From there, we enter the Reserva Ecológica, a natural oasis with open views of the Río de la Plata. Our final stop is Plaza de Mayo, the political and symbolic heart of Argentina. More than sightseeing, this tour is an immersive way to experience Buenos Aires in a dynamic and authentic way.

Amazing family bike tour in Buenos Aires — highly recommend!
We did this bike tour as a family of 8, including 2 kids, and it was one of the highlights of our trip to Buenos Aires. Agustín and Lautaro were absolutely fantastic — friendly, warm, and genuinely fun to be around. They kept everyone smiling and laughing the whole way, which made the experience so enjoyable for both the adults and the children. They took us to beautiful spots around the city and clearly knew all the best places to stop. What really stood out was how much they cared about our comfort and safety. They made sure our 7-year-old had a proper child seat, and they even arranged a tandem bike (doblecleta) so everyone could ride comfortably and keep up together. If you’re visiting Buenos Aires with family, this is a wonderful way to see the city. Thank you Agustín and Lautaro for an unforgettable day — we can’t recommend you enough!
Response from the operator: Muchísimas gracias por sus comentarios y por sobre todo, nos alegra que hayan disfrutado el paseo. Agustín y Lautaro también agradecen sus palabras. Los esperamos en una próxima visita a Buenos Aires.

It was worth it!
Very nice bike tour, it was definately worth it even though the weather was not really the best. Our guide was very trustworthy, kind and explained everything. We highly recommend!

Excellent!
What a terrific experience. We rode the south trip-San Telmo, Boca, etc, which we wanted to see. Barbie was an excellent guide-instead of stopping at every monument we stopped at more historically spots where she shared the history of BA and it's place in Argentinas history.the bikes were great, the terrain is flat and they do a great job guiding you thru the streets and traffic if BA. Highly recommend.
Response from the operator: We're thrilled to hear you enjoyed the trip. Barbi is an excellent guide. Thank you so much!

Why this scores 77
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Bike Tour: Buenos Aires to the South: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Buenos Aires.
How much does Bike Tour: Buenos Aires to the South cost?
+
Prices start at $55 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Buenos Aires usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Bike Tour: Buenos Aires to the South take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Buenos Aires is not rushed.
Is Bike Tour: Buenos Aires to the South worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (4.8/5 across 61 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Buenos Aires, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Bike Tour: Buenos Aires to the South?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Bike Tour: Buenos Aires to the South suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Bike Tour: Buenos Aires to the South?
+
Around 21 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Buenos Aires can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Buenos Aires and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Bike Tour: Buenos Aires to the South start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Buenos Aires within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Buenos Aires?
+
On Outty we rank every Buenos Aires experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Argentine Cooking, Wine & Beef Tasting at Argentine Experience, Historical Sherpa Food Tour of San Telmo with Street Food, Drinks, Cooking Class with Empanadas Steak & Flan by Argentine Experience. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Buenos Aires?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Buenos Aires?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
