Desenzano del Garda to Venice bike hire

Excellent and responsive service from Gianluca from initial enquiry to handing the bikes back at the end of our journey. We initially hired touring bikes plus panniers to travel from Desenzano del Garda to Venice over 4 days. Gianluca was quick to reply to our initial request and once details were confirmed it was easy to book the bikes through the website, including drop-off time at Desenzano del Garda. Due to the predicted high temperatures, we asked at short notice to change to e-bikes as an insurance. This was swiftly arranged and actioned. Gianluca dropped the bikes off at the agreed time, including a brief familiarisation tutorial. Mechanically the bikes were obviously well maintained and gave us no trouble for the 200+km journey to the Travel & Bike office. The office is situated 150m from a bus stop that takes you into Venice for Euro 1.50.

Response from the operator: Thank you so much for your review! We hope to see you again in the future!

Rent from here! They are good!

Wow! What a great experience with Travel & Bike in Venice! The cost was very good, but for budget tourists it feels a little expensive. However, they are the cheapest option I could find, and provided high-quality bikes that were decently comfortable, and very effective for our 75 km ride that we took. The man who helped us get them was very kind even though we were very late for our pick-up and he accommodated us very nicely. My thanks to the team there. I bullishly recommend this company to you! Happy travels 😊

Response from the operator: Thanks for your review!

    From Venice to Ravenna

We did the tour from Venice to Ravenna again with our daughter and her boyfriend because we enjoyed it so much the first time. We rent the bikes by Travel&Bike, incredibly friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

Response from the operator: Thank you for your review!

    Great rental experience

Wonderful bike rental experience. Gianluca delivered our 3 bikes to us in Bolzano and we rode back to Mestre. Bikes are terrific, everything worked well and we had a fantastic time. Highly recommend this business.

Response from the operator: Thank you ladies! Was nice to meet you and serving you! Best wishes from Venice!

    Electric bike for 1 week

Hired an electric bike to go from Toblach to Venice over a week. I got one with a 500W engine and it was fantastic. I learnt how to conserve the power on some of the big climbs and passes, but we did Pass Giau and the only one it almost didn't make it was Monte Grappa (which is an epic climb!!). The shop was great and attached my pedals so I could clip in and then gave me everything I needed for the bike. We returned it back at the end of the week. Thanks guys!

Response from the operator: Thank you Janet! we were happy to know you were satisfied of our bike rental service. Greetings from Venice!

Bike rental in Venice: questions travelers ask

Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Venice.

How much does Bike rental in Venice cost?

    +

Prices start at $25 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Venice usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.

How long does Bike rental in Venice take?

    +

Plan for about 24 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Venice is not rushed.

Is Bike rental in Venice worth it?

    +

It holds an Outty Ranking of 77 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 42 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Venice, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.

Can I cancel or reschedule Bike rental in Venice?

    +

Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.

Is Bike rental in Venice suitable for kids and families?

    +

Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 24-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.

How far in advance should I book Bike rental in Venice?

    +

Around 15 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Venice can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.

What should I bring or wear?

    +

Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Venice and add a light layer if any part of the 24-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.

Where does Bike rental in Venice start and how do I get there?

    +

The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Venice within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.

What are the best things to do in Venice?

    +

On Outty we rank every Venice experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Pasta and Tiramisu Cooking Class with Wine in Venice, Eating Venice Small Group Food & Drinks Tour, Venice Bacaro Food Tour: Eat and Drink like a Venetian. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.

When is the best time to visit Venice?

    +

Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.

How many days do you need in Venice?

    +

Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.

Do I book through Outty or through the operator?

    +

Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
