Escaping the busy city center!
Fantastic experience! Dave was super knowledgeable and patient with us, so we could do this tour in our own pace and had sufficient time to enjoy each and every minute. Thanks a lot!

Take this tour!
Dave’s the bomb! Super nice guy, and had fun facts to share about NYC and Brooklyn. He took extra care on food stops as we had a member of our party with a severe food allergy.
Response from the operator: Was a blast adventuring around the city with you and the family, thank you so much! And, feel free to share those beautiful photos! Enjoy the rest of your stay in NYC :)

Not Only for Tourists
I am indeed a New York City local and I highly recommend adding this activity to your list of things to do, as a tourist or a local! Dave was a great guide with a positive attitude, tailoring our experience based on us being locals. Truly enjoyed learning not only the history but also current facts on the expansion of neighborhoods like Williamsburg and Greenpoint along the East River. Lastly, tasty lunch and comfortable bikes!
Response from the operator: Thank you, Yana! Had so much biking around Brooklyn with you and your lovely family! Come back anytime!

Memorable tour from a local’s perspective
I had an amazing and personalized experience in the middle of the winter season - the sun showed up and followed us all the way to Brooklyn bridge, Dumbo, Domino park, Williamsburg, Brooklyn heights and other places along the way. Halfway through I had a great everything-flexitarian-bagel at Russ and Daughters. Plenty of time was given for questions as well as historical anecdotes and photo-stops with views in front of for example Manhattan, but also Steiner studios. As the only bike tour in Brooklyn from a local’s perspective, Original NYC gave me a glimpse of what it has been to live in the borough historically as well as how it is in 2025. I doubt I could have had a better tour in Brooklyn in January or at all during my first visit ever to NYC. Tusen tack! /David

A fascinating and unique adventure!
I recently took a bike tour with Original NYC and it was an incredible experience! The ride was both fun and easy, making it perfect for cyclists of all levels. Our guide, Dave, was knowledgeable and shared fascinating insights about Brooklyn and New York City throughout the tour. The scenic views we encountered were breathtaking, especially as we pedaled along the waterfront and through charming neighborhoods. If you’re looking to explore NYC in a unique way, this bike tour is definitely the way to go! Highly recommend it for anyone wanting to see the city from a new perspective!

Why this scores 73
The Outty Ranking is a weighted composite. Here is how this experience performed on each component.
Bike Brooklyn NYC Like a Local by Original NYC: questions travelers ask
Practical detail on this experience, plus the wider planning questions for Brooklyn.
How much does Bike Brooklyn NYC Like a Local by Original NYC cost?
+
Prices start at $75 per person. The final price depends on the date, the time slot and the number of travelers, and peak weekends in Brooklyn usually price higher than midweek mornings. Live pricing and remaining availability are confirmed on the booking screen before you pay.
How long does Bike Brooklyn NYC Like a Local by Original NYC take?
+
Plan for about 3 hours from start to finish, not counting travel to the meeting point. Most travelers leave another 30 minutes on either side so the rest of the day in Brooklyn is not rushed.
Is Bike Brooklyn NYC Like a Local by Original NYC worth it?
+
It holds an Outty Ranking of 73 out of 100, which we label "Strongly Recommended". That score blends traveler sentiment (5/5 across 24 reviews), the depth of that review evidence, recent booking momentum, value for money against comparable last minute in Brooklyn, and how flexible the cancellation terms are.
Can I cancel or reschedule Bike Brooklyn NYC Like a Local by Original NYC?
+
Yes. Cancel free up to 24 hours before the start time for a full refund. Inside that window the booking is non-refundable, and no-shows are not refunded.
Is Bike Brooklyn NYC Like a Local by Original NYC suitable for kids and families?
+
Yes, all ages are welcome. Families should still weigh the 3-hour running time, and strollers are easier on the earlier, quieter departures.
How far in advance should I book Bike Brooklyn NYC Like a Local by Original NYC?
+
Around 8 people booked this in the last 30 days, so popular slots go early. Two to three weeks ahead is comfortable in shoulder season, while summer weekends and holidays in Brooklyn can sell out a month out. Same-day spots do open up when other travelers cancel, so it is worth checking if you are already in town.
What should I bring or wear?
+
Bring photo ID, your booking confirmation on your phone, a refillable water bottle and comfortable shoes. Dress for the weather in Brooklyn and add a light layer if any part of the 3-hour experience runs outdoors or after sunset.
Where does Bike Brooklyn NYC Like a Local by Original NYC start and how do I get there?
+
The exact meeting point and directions are on your voucher once you book, and they sit in central Brooklyn within reach of public transport. Arrive 15 minutes early: late arrivals are treated as no-shows by most operators.
What are the best things to do in Brooklyn?
+
On Outty we rank every Brooklyn experience on the same 0 to 100 scale, and alongside this one the highest scorers right now include Brooklyn Bridge & DUMBO Food Tour: Local Eats & Iconic Views, The Escape Game Brooklyn: Epic 60-Minute Adventures in City Point, Bushwick Street Art Tour and Williamsburg Lifestyle Tour. The city page groups everything into most popular, highest reviewed, last minute and family-friendly so you can build a day around what actually delivers.
When is the best time to visit Brooklyn?
+
Booking patterns follow the same curve: prices and queues climb in peak weeks, while shoulder season gives you better availability on the top-ranked experiences and more room to change plans.
How many days do you need in Brooklyn?
+
Three full days covers the headline sights without sprinting. A workable rhythm is one anchor experience each morning, such as this one, an unhurried afternoon in a single neighborhood, then a food or nightlife booking in the evening. Five days lets you add a day trip outside the city.
Do I book through Outty or through the operator?
+
Outty ranks and explains the experiences, then hands you to Viator to complete the booking with the operator directly. The price is the same as booking on Viator yourself, and Outty earns an affiliate commission on the referral, which is how the rankings stay free to read.
