Volcanoes National Park with Rainbow Falls, Lava Tube, & Ice Cold Sodas
Gary truly made our Volcanoes National Park tour memorable. He recognized the importance of timing on the stops. We bypassed some and came back later. As a result, we saw the Rainbow Falls in their full glory as well as the steaming volcano and vents in the distance - later they were fully clouded in. Gary tailored our tour for 6 and asked us our preferences so we could experience what we wanted - the lava tube, black sand beach, and lava land. Fascinating to see the swirls and pocks in the hard lava flows of the landscape. Gary was also quick with the different trees, plants and other Big Island sights. Cold drinks (Diet Coke) and yummy snacks were also a big plus. He gave us handy hints on things to do in Kona as he had lived there. The stories he shared about Hawaiian history and products were spot on. Gary was a low-key with dry wit guide to all things Big Island Hawaii!!

The way Gary undertook and explained the Volcano’s was just brilliant.
I must say that all that is offered on this web site is above and beyond and true. Besides the tour itself and the way it is presented one of the highlights is the owner/tour guides is Gary himself. His knowledge is exceptional without being over the top. Even his choice of coffee stops, cafe, and the special shaved ice was beyond expectation. Best Volcano NP,lava tubes, waterfall and black sand beach tour.
We did the Volcano NP and waterfall tour. Gary, our guide, was amazing. He was so knowledgeable about the volcanoes and so much more. The lava tubes were so interesting and it was great to get to see where the lava reaches the ocean. We had a great day with Gary and we really enjoyed our local lunch stop.

Best Private Tour on the Big Island!
I live on Kauai but do not make it to the Big Island often and knew I wanted a tour guide to show me around, especially Volcano National Park. Gary was the best private tour operator I ever toured with anywhere in the world! His knowledge of the Big Island is impressive, and he customized the tour perfectly to fit my particular interests. I work in tourism and have worked with and been on dozens of tours and nobody delivers such excellent customer service as Gary. He is the only company on the Big Island I will recommend to my guests and family alike.

Wonderful Island Tour
We had a wonderful time exploring the island as a family of 6, thanks to Derek and Gary! They really did their best to accommodate us and make sure we have a good time, and we surely did. Our tour guide Derek is warm, knowledgeable, and amazing to be around. He shared a wealth of information about the island’s history, geology, and culture, all while keeping the tour fun and engaging. He made sure we had time to explore and enjoy each stop without ever feeling rushed. Highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Big Island!
